Pictures from other places

I have seen a few profiles where if you reverse search the pictures you can see them on many other sites some are porn sites others are tumblr and pintrest. A lot are historic pictures that raises suspcion on a new profile

Do these profiles every get removed?

Happens a lot, I found a guy with a face pic that came up on an American online clothing store.

I've found with these kinds of scenarios, that if you report the profile, they get removed pretty quickly.

Seeing them on other sites does not necessarily make them fake profiles though it should be remembered...

I usally call the person out on the pic and before long the profile is gone

Doesn't mean they are fake profiles.

The only site we have ever posted to is this one and yet we constantly get told by others that they have seen the pictures on other sites too.

They have also been used on pay per View sites and advertised across social media for all to see.

This has taken a long time for us to get them removed so it's not always the case that it points to a fake profile and who says anyone cannot post or use there pictures on other sites to or however they choose.

This is true in some cases but the majority of the time these pics have been lifted from various porn sites etc, ive had a pic of a famous spanish footballer sent to me the sender claiming to be him in the pic when i asked him how his spanish was he actually confessed and said he was using fake pics he didnt think anyone would notice, i explained most people reverse image search

More people need to learn how to watermark their pictures.

Adding 'name@fab' somewhere hard to crop will discourage people stealing photos and posting elsewhere.

Not much use to prevent those who are stealing pics from elsewhere and claiming it's themselves.

But it's a start.

As others have said, having pics on other sites too doesn't make a person fake. However if you report the profile Admin can take a look and if needed can ask the profile to verify they are their own pics

We report a few such profiles whenever they pop up. Giving an indication on how you found the original image can help. So far, 90% of the ones we've reported have been removed. In some cases, we seem to get blocked from viewing the profile as soon as we report them, which is odd.

If you named them it would be removed as you aren't allowed to name and shame. It might seem unfair, but it stops it descending into a slagging match across the pages.
