gold member bypass privacy feature

I think that ypu should make it a site feature thay gold members can bypass privacy settings... Except for block!

It creates a barrier that many people will not pay, but also increases the number of people who will help support the site. Tbis is becausd many silver supporters have no incentive to "go-gold"

or maybe gold could include an auto-verify feature with a video chat from an admin?

I do business as a degree and i want this site to continue, so im just trying to help.

Privacy settings are there for a reason, privacy, so to say gold membership should allow you to bypass those settings negates the reason for having them in the first place in my opinion..

I am with this - if you think it is acceptable to bypass security features for people who pay more then any business you run will not last long.

"We take privacy seriously (unless someone pays more to get access)" is not a good business model.

Can you get a refund from your Uni?

You do understand it's not just those whom are a site supporter that support the site but every user that uses it.it becomes popularity and other means I've not done a degree in business but have a very great idea how to make one successful... customers

.......

Gold site support doesn't exactly mean you support the site more.

You get extra days as far as I am aware with silver. But you get a couple more perks with gold.

So the extra days with silver is offset by the extra few perks with gold.

We use the filters the site provides to filter out those we don't wish to be contacted by.

You seem to be suggesting a payment to bypass all filters, in which case, filters may as well not exist.

I'd run this idea past your tutor, see how many marks out of 10 he'd give you.

How many customers and how much income do you forecast to lose from users who leave the site, or won't support it any longer, because they have had their rights to privacy abused?

It would be a gross invasion of privacy and could see fab in courr.

It also poses immense danger to others. Victims of harassment and stalking, who expect and need barriers to help to protect them, from creepy, dangerous others. This can result in serious injuries and deaths. Good luck if you want to help to cause that!

I suggest you get a lecturer to teach you how to check companies House if you're worried about this site needing to insentivise gold membership over silver...

Spoiler, if the owner is happy with it not making huge profits in relation to their other businesses... it's probably safe enough

I agree with you but as a tongue in cheek reply, I would add Facebook does this all the time.

I think this would add to the "I'm a site supporter yet I'm still not getting meets" entitlement. We've seen some profiles act like a gold site supporter medal is the same as flashing a fancy watch or a Ferrari.

Suddenly being able to step over your privacy settings would make them feel even more entitled to a reply.

Fair comment. Putting it out there really as a suggestion to help.

Its true that privacy features are there to avoid unwanted attension.

Many other sites like pof, bumbld, tinder, to name but a few, do actually do this type of thing however. So its still a valid suggestion.

They simply write the policy to reflect the site system.

Personally i feel that i do have red lines like no men, or cross, and im not sure i would like tbose lines being crossed myself.

I do still feel the video posting is really something that should be unlocked, to help integrate new community members however.

That aside i agred with you.

Im not suggesting only that, there are several other items up for debate like enabling the video post feature.

Im actually convinced you are right about bypassing privacy.

Yup.

I dont think its a good idea.

I actually was hoping people might pick up on my second item, instead of transfixing.

Good answer.

What do you think about unlocking video posting at gold for the duration?

I think many folks would like to see that.

The privacy thing is just a stimulation prompt really, seems to have worked. But no, not a good idea.

Videos? Maybe?

"How do you feel about gold members being able to see that you visited their profile?"

Any level of subscriber can see who's visited their profile unless that person has enabled the feature that hides them on who's looked at me

I'd say being verified by others and A. The two have chemistry and find each other handsome or attractive would be more of a success site supporter just gives a user the opportunity to explore the site and add extra features doesn't provide a line up of candidates throwing themselves

Not sure about that, as far as i remember when i was still on free, i was able to see someone looked, but not who they were, there must have been a workaround that i wasnt aware of?

Its good to debate though dont you think?

If they looked and didn't message they're not interested.

Okay so how about this suggestion, when someone becomes a site supoorter they are contacted by an admin to have a quick video call to give them verified?

The reason i am stuck on this issue is because it presents a closed shop system. Often for good reasons, of which we are aware, including personal safety. But i do still feel that by offering more, then the site stands to gain more.

That said, youve convinced me that paying should not equal automatic verification of intent.

So youve given me pause, and convinced me to retract my original idea, in favour of a call, admin related opportunity to be verified, perhaps i am willing to move on that too?

it may seem that it is sinply because i am not verified, bit i have to say ive been on and off this for many years, and have met many people, none of which have actually resulted in eother of us verifying one and other, primarily bexausr neither of us were verified already. This presented us with the question at the dimmer table, which i felt was touche, can you only get verified if you are an insider, and are we expected to bow to our masters, an interesting conversation to have over wine and pizza.

3784 people joined today. How much time do you think Admin has to video call them?

You accept the current system presents a closed shop system and it's often for good reasons, but still you want to change it.

I'm not convinced you're fully thinking through your improvements.

"How do you feel about gold members being able to see that you visited their profile?"

Maybe concentrate on what you can do to improve your profile/opportunities rather than trying to change the whole system that many people are quite happy with.

Moaning about flaws in the site hindering your opportunities to get verified is a cop out. With fab you get out what you put in.

Video posts on the forums?

I don't see how that would help integrate anyone, if people want video chat etc there are the chat rooms for that, the forums work well enough as they are

Bad for business I reckon.
