i see you can verify people that are genuine , there should be an option to name or indicate that people are timewasters , as this only harms the site and the enjoyment of real people on here so much so that they move elsewhere and then the site loses all credibility and also money from revenue |

I agree... and since you never turned up for our meet.. I'll verify you are being a timewaster, its only fair... you didn't call or text me to let me know....
of course all the above is a lie, I don't know you from adam, but it would be my word against yours and could be open to all to abuse, from those spurned to those who have had bad meets....
now do you see why it wouldn't work |

I agree with my mate Fabio...its open to all sorts of abuse...but also agree with the poster...it would be useful to know if someone has a history of timewasting.
On another site there is a star system where you start off with 3 stars... as as you get +ve feedback from sucessful meets your number of stars goes up...like wise there is a -ve feedback button and if you get a few -ve feedbacks the number of stars on your profile goes down...so its easily visible...5 stars...good...2 stars likely to be a time waster...it seems to work on that site... |

well said _abio.........its one persons word over another......then theres the whole issue of people falling out, then personal vendettas, then genuine misunderstandings, then people taking the huff then theres genuine time wasters......very very hard to have a time-wasting system. |

This whole timewaster lark is a load of old tosh.
Timwasting is totally open to interpretation. This is a hobby to most people and those people usually have lives other than swinging. In those lives, things go wrong, unexpected things turn up out of the blue - there are a million and one reasons which can and sometimes do prevent a meet from taking place and it isn't always possible to do anything about it or even to contact someone to tell them.
Yes I'm sure there are some people who may get a thrill out of arranging something then not turning up, but that's just a fact of life and there is nothing that you or I will ever do about it other than accept the fact that it exists - just like the pox.
Certainly having a 'blacklist' of perceived timewasters is the last thing we need. |

been on sites in the past that had name and shame boards, they dont work, you had people naming other as time waters because they met them and wouldnt have sex, you had people naming others as time wasters because they didnt get on etc, people just abuse them and use them as a way of 'getting their own back' on others that didnt want to play etc |

ok you can not have blacklist or a time waster notice board but there has to be a system where you can vent your anger at someone who has let you down because of my own experience and i may add the only one it went something like this. message hi you free today reply yes etc few mails later followed by mob num txt mesg are you on your way yes 45 min will be at yours .reply great c u soon . 40 mins later sorry mate we have to cancel bye.. no reason given and never got back to me .. i wish i could name them. let them explain their actions .... |

"let them explain their actions ...."
We've had exactly the same experience with a couple, on our way to the meet, they sent us a text stating “Sorry, we've decided you're not what we're looking for” |

There's nearly always a genuine reason why someone can't make a meet and as adults on an adult site we should show more understanding.
However, there are ways to cancel/postpone a meet which doesn't include saying you haven't the time today but you then add yourself to the meet today list...that to me smacks of someone hedging their bets - lol! |

"If someone has deliberately wasted your time you can use the REPORT link to report to admin. If there is a pattern of behaviour we remove the user from the site.
Admin x"
This seems to be a dead sensible idea, we've never been let down or let any one else down but if admin get reports and see a definite pattern then they can take appropriate action. |

Another site has a star system, I think that all users start at no stars and after a positive feedback get more stars up to a maximum. But, if someone leaves a bad feedback then they lose a star. The bad feedback text is not shown no profile though.
Discuss.......

Seen it work quite well on other site, no naming or shaming, just help assess potential meets by the star count, might be stating the obvious but if dont timewaste anyone your maximum star display was intact.

You can only however do that if the person hasn't blocked you from looking at their profile.
If someone has wasted your time or being abusive to you you cannot report them if they have bloked you.
Or can you and i just don't know it? |

"Yeah there is still a report button to the left of the profile, where your menu would normally be."
If someone has blocked you though you cannot bring up their profile at all...so how can you report them then? |

You can still bring up their profile but instead of seeing their details, etc you will see a message saying this profile is not available for you to view, etc.
It is still their profile and there is a 'Report User' link to the side under 'MENU' that you can click to report their profile. |

I think that there is a wee bug in the system when browsing for a username. When they have blocked you, the profile you are searching for doesn't show in the results, the only way to get is to look at another profile and manually edit the address bar to the required username. |
