I dont know if this is workable..but what about a thumbs up/down system that sat next to peoples names on their profiles based on their reliabilty / or time wasting..
Yes..your thinking 'anyone can put a thumbs down'...but not quite everyone if the system is limited only to people that are on your friends list as you would assume that they would start of there, getting to know each other, swapping details etc etc before moving on to a meet..
Then..if they turn up..give them a thumbs up..if they dont..without reason or mess you about give them a thumbs down..
No muck spreading that way..and it leaves others with the option whether to meet them or not.??
Just a thought.. |

"Whay happens if you fall out with a friend? Or meet someone not on your friendlist?"
Falling out with a friend is tricky..I'll give you that..but if you have fallen out with them they wont be on your list any more anyway...thus cant leave a comment
Meeting someone not on your list..they wouldnt be able to comment. but Im sure most people here would have regular meets on their list..
And they could always join your list to leave a comment if they were totally happy and satisfied. |

But if anyone left a thumbs down you could 'defriend' them - and all anyone would be left with was thumbs up
Don't see what benefit the site would get from this |

Not at all..once you got the grade you would have to keep it..'defriending' them wouldnt remove it |

But deleting their profile and re-joining probably would.
Also, thumbs-downing a profile for not enjoying the meet would be a bit unfair. What if the guy is good for me but not for others? What if he got a thumbs down for being genuinely late or held up? |

Definitely not a thumbs down for not enjoying..I would have thought fair play and decency would play a part here..Swingers seem like a pretty fair bunch..and the same goes for someone who was late or held up..
No..these 'thumbs' are pure for the good guys and the deliberate time wasters..ie those who say they are coming, make a date, a time a place..then blow it all out for no apparent reason and do not bother to say sorry or whatever. |
