This has probably been asked before but wouldn’t it be easier to have a box to tick for the type of person you’re looking for?
Lots of profiles I look on but then see they are looking for black or mixed race only. If there was a box to tick like there is for ‘not looking for men’ then only the people in their criteria would be able to view..
And would make it easier for us not in the categories selected. |

This is the exact reason why it’s needed. The only way I can filter out people that are not interested in me is by clicking on their profile, seeing they are looking for black men only etc and then blocking them. And even then, they still show up on searches. I only realise I’m not in their requirements when I go to click on profile and see I’ve blocked or been blocked. |

As an asian male, i get i’m not many women’s cup of tea which sucks but it is what it is so would be nice to be able to filter women who are into asians! |

I guess it is what it is, i’m not mad tbh cos everyone has their own preferences and experiences…
being a guy on a site that’s dominated by other males isn’t ideal and my age doesn’t work in my favour either cos most women that I think are suitable candidates have their age settings where they don’t go for younger men so i think taking a few year hiatus would do me some good (if i’m not married off)  |

They could just add to the list of interests, we know generally how the racial preferences are cut.
Whites only
Blacks only
South Asians only
I believe racial filtering is more about social economic stereotypes, cultural comfortability, a little about physical stereotypes. Aversion to Blacks is more about socio-economic reasons, a meet with a Black guy who conforms to the ignorant/rude/lazy/aggressive stereotype is enough to put anyone off for life. Those that are Blacks only is a combination of the physical performance (which a substantial proportion of Black guys have, but statistically most still don't), and interracial kink (usually from White couples), and for 'same-race' it's for cultural reasons, we find it easy to relate to each-other, common struggle, common dreams, common interests.
Of course there are those that simply don't find a particular race of men attractive. This is mostly media conditioning your mind to find certain shapes more attractive, our brains are just giant neural networks. If it's a physical thing, then it's likely the person is in bad/wrong shape or isn't packing much which tends to reduce the quality of the sexual encounter.
The mind is fluid. If you keep watching a particular genre of porn then you're going to become attracted and more comfortable with what you see. The brain is complicated, but some parts do work on some simple mathematical principles. |

Political correctness should never be forced on people’s sexual preferences. If people want a certain race that filter should be available, after all it is for gender and age.
On the other Fab site they actually have your own ethnicity in your stats on your profile, I think the same feature should be here  |

That would be normal of all hetero/bisexual men on the planet towards women. Sure we have preferences, but acceptance criteria is low. Us men are R-selected species, we go for the numbers. Quality yes, but we'll fuck any woman who fits within a wide range of normal.
Women & couples however, they come with the power of choosing. K-selection, quality. Of course the quality factor spans more than just physical performance, there's a lot of social factors, and factors inferred from racial/cultural background.
To call it all racist is dumb. Some of it may be ignorant, but at the end of the day people are looking for an experience, that experience is based on their own individual outlook & perspective of the world.

On the gay apps there was huge pressure to remove ethnicity filters, with those vocal people accusing discrimination otherwise. It is the only thing that can no longer be filtered. If it had happened there, matter of time before the rest of apps and sites get the same pressure. I do not agree with this political correctness when it comes to sex and dating, dangerous ground. |

Don't forget Asians, some are pretty light too, and Black albinos. And on the flip side I don't see too many white women seeking dark skin Indian/Sri Lankans along with their BBC hunting. But yeah, I'm sure there are colour contrast fetish reasons too.
That said there are a lot of reasons.
For X minority:
Colour contrast
Physical contrast (particularly for those men/women with significant Sub-Saharan ancestry)
Social status contrast (e. g. The Black/white socio-economic dichotomy in Western countries)
Exotic contrast (every biological organism likes to try something different. Evolution)
Against X minority: (applies almost exclusively to the males)
Colour difference uncomfortable
Physical difference uncomfortable
Social-economic/cultural issues
General difference uncomfortable
Some may be based on a combination of bad experiences, stereotypes and to some extent objective reality.
It's a range, but generally if people are anti something. It's usually due to bad experiences of socio-economic/cultural nature than anything inherent to a particular racial group. Also the Media is a powerful tool that influences us all.
Anyway. Getting back to the original topic, which is easier to talk about.
The skin colour gives me an idea.
Fabs could make every physical attribute searchable. From skin colour to eye colour, body proportions, cock size.
Btw, with all this data. Does fabs use the data for anything. A la pornhub's yearly statistics updates. The views/friends/verifications/fabbed images (with tags) would likely yield some fascinating social insights that other population surveys would struggle to capture. Just a thought for the admin... |

Discrimination has been a big issue with everything black live matter and all that it's gone stupid Web sites can't be seen putting anything in place that can be seen as discrimination like no white men, no bbws it's not pc what you like is up to you but they have to be seen to be above all that.
Soon everyone will have to avoid saying things like no white men and black men only because it is decriminalisation

I personally don't have a preference for ethnicity...
I maybe be Irish but I actually prefer other nationalities than my own. |
