Copying photos within messages

Can anyone tell me that if you post a picture direct from phone into a message, can the recipient then copy that picture to their own phone or PC?

If this has been asked before then I apologise....

Yes, absolutely, they only need to right click and save to device.

If for any reason they can't do that they could take a screenshot or take a picture of it using another device.

Any photos that you send anywhere in the internet or by email should be considered out there for the world to see.

Agreed - only a specialised app will stop people from saving them, and even then not perfectly (for example, Snapchat will warn the other person if you take a screenshot, but it’ll still be saved).
