Hopefully a mod can sort out this problem
For the last couple of months during lockdown a fabber has gone to a lot of trouble to create a quiz every Friday night on The Ireland Forum
It has definitely cheered people up on the forum, brought people closer together and more importantly has raised money for the nominated charity by the winner every week.A couple of hundred raised so far
Tonight the quiz thread was posted as normal but the thread was deleted, the fabber who organises the quiz got a time out
Any chance the mods could reconsider please
Thank you

I understand now that links to other websites are the problem
Maybe it would be ok for the fabber to post a quiz thread but to send the link by private message only
Would that be acceptable Mods |

"If the link is asking for money it isn't allowed on the forum or in mail"
No the link doesn't ask for money,it doesnt cost money to join the quiz
All the quiz it did was the winner chose their favorite charity and if you wanted to donate a few quid to it you could
So if the charity aspect wasn't mentioned in a thread could the quiz be posted again from next week |

Forum Mod O o O oo |
I can't see the threads deleted but have asked for clarity, but as long as there is no link in the thread and if the link you are sending out is not asking for money it will be fine.
You could use the chatrooms here if it is easier, the quizmaster can type in caps to stand out when doing a quiz, just pick a quieter room if you only want a few in |

I have to say I have looked forward to the quiz every Friday night and the time and effort put in by the organiser is appreciated. Have gotten to know few people through the quiz that I wouldn't have interacted with on site.
