Revoke message permission?

Could we have an option where we can revoke permission to message?

Once you’ve replied to someone, it means they can always message you, so even if filters are on you get messages.

There could be a revoke option which means they can no longer message you?

Thank you

"Isn't that the block button?"

No, because you don’t need to block everyone, I don’t see the point.

The block button is only for abusive/rude, well for me anyway.

I’m on another site where this is a feature and it’s brilliant.

It’s middle ground. It doesn’t have to be block or chat surely?

So you want them to be able to see your profile but not message you ?

I am an attention whore

As I say, I’m on another site, and it’s a really great, and very popular feature.

And also, I just don’t see the point in having to block so many people, it makes no sense, as they are harmless, but equally, I don’t want messages from them.

If you don't want to hear from them then why be concerned about blocking them, surely that will achieve what you want?

Because blocking is a last resort for me. I don’t feel the need to block every person that messages me.

Could you just ignore their messages ?

I could, but I like a tidy box , and I sometimes feel guilty just deleting.

Sorry, I'm not understanding your rationale, you don't want messages and blocking provides that but you don't want to... Maybe I'm being thick but what's the difference?

This isn’t just about me, all I know is, it’s a bloody brilliant feature in the other site I’m on, it’s very popular. It was just a suggestion.

Being able to view a profile but not allowed to message is like the end of Bulls Eye. "Now look at what you could have won"

"Being able to view a profile but not allowed to message is like the end of Bulls Eye. "Now look at what you could have won""

Which is what many people have with the current message filters, the ability for people to see their profile but not message

I understand what the OP is asking for, and it seems like a useful feature for people that don’t get the hint when a conversation stops.

You would think resetting your message filters would do that, but obviously not.

Don’t delete. Just leave them unread so the senders knows they’re being ignored.
