I have a suspicion that friends only photos get treated as public photos by the system. But also it seems that sometimes people will make a photo public long enough to send a message, then hide it again afterwards. |

It's simple. People make a picture public, message you, then make it private again  |

It's usually when they make a pic public to message you once tbey send the message they make it private again. I wondered the same and a guy who had messaged me told me he did that because be really wanted to message me |
