Profiles not verified by Fab

Hi, this probably gets bought up regularly but what does Fab gain by allowing profiles that aren't photo verified by Fab (green flag).

All it seems to do is allow a lot of fakes to cut and paste messages to lots of profiles (you only have to read the status updates to see this) and then the genuine messages get deleted in the mass inbox clearouts people have).

Surely if you're serious about using this site, getting fab verified isn't an issue and Fab admin would have a lot less happy paid up members..

I'm not sure that photo verification stops people from copying and pasting messages?

.......

The photo veri picture always stays private. It never gets shown.

There are message settings on every profile to stop none verified profiles from contacting you.

Infact the site caters for your own preferences with message filters..

The message filters are easy to set to you own preference and then the site will work how you want it to work.

I understand about the message filters, but selfishly or not, I'm thinking about those I'm trying to message who are getting inundated with messages..

Then they should set up the filters. It slightly cuts down the junk mail. As for the FAF messages, I find them with plenty of veris send them more.

Message filters are the way forward as mentioned.

What makes you believe that all the other messages the people you contact are from fakes?

I am not understanding you OP. They are not fake men's profiles if they are sending messages to women in competition with your messages ? Indeed if women use the " no unverified " filter they won't get such messages anyway. Fake profiles are usual female ones.

Photo verification is of limited value in our opinion.

I'm sure people who have given over a photo of themselves and payment details would think before sending such abusive messages?

Maybe I'm in the minority thinking this then..

To be honest. You probably are the minority that thinks this.

No one actually gives payment details to anyone by the way. You just give a donation to the site that is all.

There are plenty of verified and paid up members that can still be abusive. Just like any other site.

As said on this thread a few times. If users used there message filters they can stop unvirified and also none site supporters from messaging them. It is entirely their own choice whether they do or not.

But sometimes. Even verified profiles and site supporters can get abusive. We have had a few from time to time.

Usually after a polite no thanks.

The way to get responses is make your message stand out from the rest.

Read profiles fully. A good structured message. It's hit and miss. If a user wants to interact with you they will.

Also remember. Maybe some of your messages aren't lost. Users can read a message and then tag it as unread. So you would never know if it has been read or not.

Don't get hung up on what other people are doing. Concentrate on yourself.

No it won’t. I’ve had plenty of FAF messages, abuse, and general shitty behaviour from site supporters, photo verified, meet verified and any combination of those. I don’t know why you think it would change anything.

Oh, and why do you think the non-site supporter, unverified profiles are fakes? What does anyone have to gain from making a fake male profile on here?

It seems to me that you’re annoyed that your messages get ignored, and you’re looking to blame the other men on here instead of looking at your own approach.

I think if people were forced to photo verify and forced to pay there would be a lot less members.

In any case PV is easy to fake.

We have always said from the start that you should get have to photo verify when you join the amount of fakes and dreamers is unreal and surely admin know this as there’s countless threads on this topic . Would make this site a lot more enjoyable if we all didn’t have to question every non verified profile

I think some people don’t understand the intention behind the photo verification option.

Its supposed to give a level of assurance that the person in the picture is the same gender as the person’s profile. Nothing more, nothing less.

What it’s not, is a cast iron guarantee that this process is 100% fool proof. Photo verifications can be and probably are faked.

What they are not is a nailed on guarantee that the person is genuine, the profile is genuine, that they won’t waste your time, that they will find you attractive, that they will want to meet you or that they will fuck you.

Enjoying the site is about using your common sense, regrettably a skill many seem to lack.

I even saw someone a while back suggesting that a photo verification was a better barometer than a meet verification.

That really did make me want to give my head a wobble.

I think some people are in too much of a hurry to meet, too desperate, and in their haste they forget to carry out any due diligence.

After which they want the site to remedy their mistakes by introducing a whole raft of unworkable and impractical processes.

If any other form of verification system provided a 100% guarantee, don’t you think the site would have implemented it by now?

If non photo verified profiles are a problem, filter them out.

If non photo verified profiles are a problem, don't look at them.

It's such a simple "problem" to resolve, I struggle to understand why people get so irate about it.

It's such a simple "problem" that it's really not even a problem if you use your filters and your loaf.

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve joined certain sites (not meeting sites) that have required full identification in order to use them the way I want to. Meaning not just a username on a piece of paper, but proof of address, photo ID, and a selfie with the ID so they can be compared. Even that isn’t foolproof and can be faked (though it takes a lot more effort). Fab *could* go down that route, but the administrative burden would be huge. And how many people would be willing to go to those lengths? I’m not sure I would be.

OP’s complaint definitely seems to be more because he wants more stringent rules for single men so that he has less competition.

How?

How will being photo verified stop the fancy a fuck and abusive messages?

I don't understand the connection.

People will create profiles for any number of reasons. Fab cannot stop this.

It is up to us to learn how to spot them, set our filters and not get upset by crap messages

Photos that have been verified by the site are never in public only the person involved and site see this but those who are making fake accounts are able to use things like Photoshop only way to get around all of this is via a two way verification which myself have made a suggestion which I believe is getting looked into from the response I received but it is important very much because it also safe guards users by the site that appropriate actions have been taken to resolve an issue.

I'm guessing it's just a waiting game as I'm sure the site has plans from what I hear but why create a further problem that could be controlled then focus on anything else makes light work.
