Replace Flash for Camming?

Can anyone advise when an alternative to flash will be available on this site when camming?

A lot of devices now don't support flash at all, my laptop included which means that I can't currently cam, which is a huge disappointment!

You don't say what O/S or browser you're using, but as far as I know Edge, Chrome and Firefox still support Flash. As far as I know, Chrome will continue to support Flash until the end of the year.

At the moment, using Chrome, you have to enable Flash when you start Chat.

I use a Chromebook which won't allow flash at all because it is no longer supported, which could represent a security risk.

Flash is still supported on chrome, until 31st December. Google have made it more fiddly to use but it still works. I used chrome to cam with but switched to edge. I appreciate you can't do this on a chromebook. Its annoying as quite a lot of websites still use flash for various things.

On a Chromebook are you using the Chromium browser? According to the chromium.org flash-roadmap, they won't remove support until release 88 targeted for Jan 2021. Is that page now out of date?

Flash is apparently still supported in Chrome for Chromebook but disabled bt default. So this needs to be re-enabled through the Content Settings of Chrome. So may be worth trying the following steps:

1) In the URL bar (website address bar), type chrome://settings/content/flash to open the Flash Settings page.

2) Click the first toggle button for "Ask first" to allow and enable sites to run Flash. Then refresh the web page that uses Flash in order to see Flash content.

Hope this helps...

Sorry but Flash is going - the website maintainers need to update their code I'm afraid.
