Mandatory photo veris?

Just read the thread regarding some new profiles needing to be photo veri'd before full use of the site. What a good idea!
These days most people have access to a camera, and with the option of not showing your face personal security isn't too much of a biggie either. So why can't everyone do it?
I'm suggesting when a new member joins, they get a 7 day trial period with limited access (view only chat, view only forums, no messaging, 1 photo upload) until they get photo veri'd, then they get full normal access. If they don't Veri in that time all access is removed unless they photo Veri.
Might help to stop the fake profiles or those not serious about this world? Hopefully 7 days should be enough for newbies to see what we're about and if this is for them? |

Least positive steps with photos to be supplied with details attached for new users I suggested this but I have another Idea and this will bypass Photoshop and safe the extra time..
How about a two way verification one video holding profile details and one photo this way saves searches and photo remains and videos just get deleted after your usage  |

You do realise in this day and age it's not hard to put up a picture of anyone and say it's you. Plus, discretion is the name of the game with swinging , I reckon Fab would be shooting themselves in the foot if they made it mandatory to send your face pic as it would discourage the 'newbie' genuine users from joining. From a business perspective , better to have hundreds of fake accounts especially couples accounts as it looks better when it says 32000 users on line right now. These kind of figures will attract more people to join so becomes a win win situation for Fab. |

Alot of people throw the word fake around far too quickly, don't want to meet me, fake, won't go on cam, fake, won't add me on social media, fake, won't give out their number, fake, won't add me on kik, fake.
I, for one, am against mandatory photo verification, I don't think it would make a huge amount of difference to the amount of 'fakes' but would put off alot of genuine people. |

Your right, guys never come across fake female accounts lol.
I have a highly technical way of verifying though, don't tell anyone though but I use a telephone and speak to people . Quickly sorts out the genuine from the fake. Are you willing to pm your telephone number. ?? No ? Jesus you must be fake . Only joking I'm sure your a real couple , it's just single guys that disagree with you that are fake. My bad. |

Suspect profiles, yes, but I agree, this would probably put off a lot of genuine people as well. Just one question, what's the definition of fake? It's a word that is bandied around fab far too often. Behind every profile there is a person. If that person doesn't want to meet you are they fake? If they only use the forums, cam rooms etc, are they fake? If they only use fab to stay in touch with friends are they fake? I could be fake for all of these reasons, and I've been regularly accused of being so as well, which clearly, I'm not.  |

I guess people use the site how it suits them. I can generally tell after a couple of messages if they are looking to do this and swiftly shut the chat down without sending pics. Mine are friends only or private, only people I know personally are on my friends as well. I find this helps a lot. As does blocking single guys and couples from time to time. |

That isn't a fake profile though. It is someone who will probably never meet and having to PV a profile won't stop that.
One way to avoid that is ignore them when they ask the 'so what are we gonna do when we meet, what will you wear, blah blah' message hoping for dirty talk to wank to. |

Admin have said a PV won't be compulsory for all. If you set your filters so non verified people are blocked from mailing you then the site will work for you how you want it to

Fake to me is a an account made by a bot.
Even couple's that's really just a guy, a female account that's really just a guy isn't really "fake", more like fraud/lie.

You already have the option to filter out all messages from those without photos or verifications, you need not have any contact with them.
Any that slip through the gaps would find away around the suggested system.
Mandatory photo verifications is a terrible idea. |

Takes 5 minutes to hold up a bit of paper, there really is no reason for genuine people to not be verified. |

I think it's pointless. It's so easy to pull a picture off the internet and manipulate it in photoshop to look 'verifiable'.
Would most people go to the trouble? I don't know, but it seems pretty silly to think that photo verified = not fake. |

This profile isn't photo verified. But that does not mean we aren't genuine.
We was regulars at the Attic before Covid.
Mr uses this profile more for the purposes of the chat rooms. As the missus has a separate account also for chat purposes. Most of our meet Veri's go to the profile she uses. I could ask for people to veri this also but I really don't see the point in doubling up on them.
As also said by another member. Photoshop is easy to use and it would be easy to fabricate a photo for the PV process.
The site provides the tools for people to use and they do infact work well when used.  |

Someone hunting for wank fodder isn't fake, they are a real person.
For me, a fake is someone pretending to be someone else, a single man on a couples account, someone using someone else's pictures etc. |

Photoshop is easy to use. Which means it would be easy to manipulate.
Yes. It is a free site. But it is also free for people to use as they wish.
What one person calls fake may not be what another person perceives as fake.
Again. As already said. The photo veri won't become compulsory to everyone.

If pv was compulsory, we would have never joined. Verifications through photo or meet, cam etc mean very little,
We have been let down by very well verified members and also have met some others who had no verifications.
There's tools on the site to help you get the experience you want from the site. If your getting contact from people you don't want, that's not the sites fault |

And a stringent criteria for who you message and trust when sending face pics.
The old saying , when something seems to good to be true then it usually is , to good to be true.
Personally I find verifications hard to fake. I'm not talking about 1 or 2 I'm talking 5 plus veris, with those people being verified by others too. The chain becomes to big to fake. 1st line of defence for me , 2nd line of defence is a phone chat. Never been stood up so far after many meets, so my screening process does work.

Wasn't my personal issues but ones other genuine members had I myself have been fortunate to meet or chat via this or other forms with genuine members so is never a rush to meet and it's been more than just fantastic chemistry
