How about an extra button in the messages window called "No Thanks". On clicking this it sends a saved generic message to the OP that you can customise to say No in your own way - be it "Thanks but not for us" or "Not looking to meet right now", or whatever you want!
If this could be done in a way that it doesn't allow re-messaging past message filters too that would be cool.
Just think it would allow a friendlier way for people to say no than just deleting messages, and hopefully guys will feel a bit more appreciated! |

Yep there is another site that does this and it's super useful |

The block button sends the same message already just not in words and doesn't clutter up someone's inbox. I would have thought if you got 100 no thanks to a pasted message in your inbox it would really depress some people. |

The problem is the block button does NOT send the same message.
It sends a negative message to the sender and receiver.
A no thanks is much less depressing than a block. |

If messages meet our request for a face picture or pictures to be included and we don’t feel an attraction then we’ll always reply to say so, it just seems polite to do so really.
If correspondents clearly haven’t bothered to read our profile and so don’t include pictures then we usually just delete...unless there’s something intriguing about the profile in which case we may reply asking them to send a picture.
The block button is for those who keep pestering or don’t understand that a polite ‘No thanks’ is still a ‘No thanks’ |

I always used to reply to say no thanks, but all that happens then is they can get round your filters if you set them in future; they don’t get the warning that they’ve already messaged and not had a reply; and then a few months down the line they look at your profile and see you emailed them in the past and they get in touch acting like you were actually talking.
My “polite no thanks” is deleting the message. If they won’t accept that, they get blocked. |

You want a button that replies/rejects messages automatically?
Arguably, that is just as bad as straight up deleting the message.
You put exactly the same amount of effort in, 1 click of a button.
