We did do that, but it just seemed heath robinson.
When people look at your profile, and the first thing they see is the section with your age, height, etc, they also see "Smoker". We have put it in our bio we are Vapers not smokers, but people have already dismissed us because we have noted ourselves as smokers.
We aren't the type of couple that would put ourselves down as non-smokers for people then to find out in our bio that we are Vapers, that would be wrong and misleading.
It wouldn't take that much to add an extra item in the dropdown field. |

Totally agree with you, I vape myself but I don’t class myself as a smoker as I’m not, I vape, vaping is totally different to smoking and half the time I don’t even using nicotine or very little if I do, it’s vaping for a reason. Some people may argue with this all day but I take it to heart when people say I smoke.
Would be a good thing if they could add this in definitely agree. |

I think the issue is that vaping has been clumped in with smoking, our company has updated its policies and added vaping in the smoking arrangement.
Till you can change people's thought process on this, you are fighting an uphill battle. |

Vaping is still smoking only difference is that cigarettes have been proven the harlm caused by smoking and vaping doesn't have any evidence to show its not harmful but can be more harmful especially when you don't know
But anyone interested would make the effort to read a person's profile so they can understand the individual or more it's what that space was designed for just my thoughts but others don't bother reading and still message when you're not looking and have preference  |

I vape, I ticked the box so it says smoker on my profile just because it's nearer to smoking than none smoking but I do state that I vape not smoke in my profile bio/text because I have been contacted by many people with a smoking fetish |

I Agree With OP here. Vaping isn’t smoking. It’s vapour. No burning. When I see a profile saying smoker I just think of the tobacco smell. I used to smoke cigarettes but now vape. I find cigarette smoke smell disgusting. No amount of perfume or deodorant masks that smell.
With regards to the massive clouds I don’t vape that kind. I don’t use straight to lung vapes. The nicotine I vape is absorbed and what I exhale disappears rapidly in the air.
So no “vapers” are not smokers. |

Always always puzzled me why in this day and age (knowing what we know) that people smoke, folk are obviously free to do as they please to themselves but wtf  arsenic, tar... not ONE positive or redeemable feature. Looks shit but much respect to vapers, they kicking the filthy habit and sometimes it even smells like Refreshers sweets!  |

There's a few people here spouting utter rubbish.
Vaping is not smoking at all. Yes both are inhaled and both can contain nicotine but they are very different.
There's also plenty of information out there re. vaping so please please read some of it, and I'm not talking about tabloid newspapers |

It's not just that vaping is, allegedly,safer than smoking. I object to being bathed in swathes of sickly sweet bubblegum smoke wherever I go.
I detest both smoking and vaping equally and I think if you tick "don't smoke" when you vape, you are being dishonest. |

I'm not sure that my perfume is as unhealthy as smoking/vaping...?
And yes, swathes of it outside my workplace and pubs/shops. I have to hold my breath as I enter (not something that perfume/body products tend to do!)
Coincidentally, my sister detests my choice of perfume  so I never wear it when I'm with her. Simple.

Some people will always hate vaping and that is fine. If you don't like it don't vape. However, you have no right to tell someone else what to do. Vapers will vape for a number of different reason, the main one being nicotine addiction and it being a lesser of 2 evils.

If science and technology are unable to provide a health warning on vape how can anyone say anything negative or positive it's still smoking if you're lungs are taking the vapour from the vape device plus whether it's nicotine or not still an addiction bottom line I find amusing is that no one knows or think they know yet legal highs were ok to take government made them legal now obviously not but look what that has done I prefer a apple |

This thread proves people have obviously got strong differing opinions on vaping, so yes, I think that this is a very good suggestion.
Those who don't like smoking or vaping (whether they see it as the same or not) can still avoid the people with those options checked.
Those who don't like smoking, but don't mind vaping can avoid just the 'actual' smokers.
I can't really see how anyone can argue having the options is a bad thing. |

This thread proves people have obviously got strong differing opinions on vaping, so yes, I think that this is a very good suggestion.
Those who don't like smoking or vaping (whether they see it as the same or not) can still avoid the people with those options checked.
Those who don't like smoking, but don't mind vaping can avoid just the 'actual' smokers.
I can't really see how anyone can argue having the options is a bad thing. "
I don't think people generally get as worked up about others wearing tights and stockings as you have about Vapes, so I think that is a little ridiculous.
