.

I have noticed that on here the who is nearby the closest is always within a quarter of a mile. Whereas on fabguys it will say touching distance or 2 minute walk. Why is that?

Is strange given they both use the same CMS, platform and algorithms.

This site also uses some antiquated system for distance measuring as someone in Southend can fall in my 20 mile radius when in fact it’s around 75 miles away.

incognito mode ;-)

From a woman's perspective I would find it really creepy,if I'm sat at home and guy messages me and he is 2 minutes away

Guys think differently to woman, hence fabguys distancing is different to here

The GPS used is “as the crow flies”, numerous folk from Southend have messaged me not realising its a fair old round trip from them to me and back again.

If they had a boat its about 5 miles.

Yes we tried this with a couple standing next to us, said within quarter mile, we wouldn't mind if it gave nearer measurements,, but sure single women would as there are some creeps about, think 500 metres should be nearest measurement

I don’t think it works precisely from your gps position. I reckon it measures from center of the postcode that your gps puts you in.
