It would be REALLY handy to get notifications when someone mentions you, or replies to a comment you've made in a forum thread. Equally, for others to recognise when you've mentioned them, or responded to their comment.
I've missed so many interactions through not being able to constantly be checking through full threads.
I know of other sites that use the @symbol after the username to create a link.
Can this feature be added please? I'm sure it would be very popular. |

I imagine it needs some tricky engineering work though. As you can either
1 quote a message
2 mention an individual
3 or both?
1-requires linking to individual message, which doesn't seem to be done just yet. "Reply+Quote" seems to just copy the raw text
2- would need to write a module to search for @mentions
3- makes things even more complex
.
