I bet you didn’t know we have three resident ghosts at Townhouse? Why don’t you come and meet them? We are having a ghost hunt!
The Townhouse doors are opening on the eve of Halloween to give the curious a chance to search for spirits with a team of paranormal investigators. And we don’t mean the spirits behind the bar! From apparitions in the corridors and reception or growling, bangs and whispers around the club, our staff and customers regular see and hear the unexplained. The building is over 90 years old and has a history as a public house. Formerly The Old Manor, lots of families have lived and died at the venue, many strippers have stripped and dancers have danced in seedy back rooms of this previously old den of iniquity.
Are you brave to take part in a séance... in the cellar dungeon...surrounded by torture devices... in the dark...on Halloween? It’s scary as fuck on a busy club night with the lights on!
Lee Piercy will be leading the team, a paranormal investigator, emotional sensitive and psychic artist. He has investigated Townhouse previously and the video of his experience in the club is on Youtube. Lee will be sharing his skills with the group and guiding us through the investigation. Joining him is Trudy, a psychic medium and card reader, and Dom, a sensitive who is experienced in running séances.
During the hunt, we will be using scientific equipment such EMF readers to see if we can find any evidence.
Complimentary light refreshments will be provided during the event.
THIS IS NOT A SWINGING EVENT! You do not need to be a member but you will need to bring two forms of ID to attend. No alcohol will be served as our bar will not be open and as it is a private event, you cannot bring your own alcohol.
Places are limited so you need to book a ticket. It costs £15 per person and if you are interested, then we can send you the link to the box office.
Our spooky ghost hunt will begin at 9pm until 2am. You can crash out afterwards (at no extra charge) and get your head down for a few hours rather than drive home. If you wish to stay, then please bring sleeping bags.
There are only 15 places for this event so you need to be quick booking tickets

They were locked in by me and left alone, so I know they were the only 2 in the building. We should document all the things we see and hear in the club on a day to day basis. Loads of spooky stuff that we can't explain.

Just watched the video. Have to say, having spent many overnights at the club I have not seen anything spooky going on so whoever still resides there does not seem to be too bothered by company. It wont put me off staying again. |

ok we have an itinerary for the night.
We have a paranormal investigator, a medium and a sensitive performing seances.
I will be walking around the building before everyone gets there to do baseline readings and will film my walk around.
On arrival, everyone will be offered hot drinks and biccies and debriefed on how the night will proceed.
We will be split into 3 groups and each group will go with one of the above and will go off into a part of the building for 30 mins to investigate and see if they pick up on anything. After 30 mins, they will rotate and go to another part of the building. Equipment may be handed to the groups and walkie talkies given too.
At this point we will reconvene for more hot drinks and sugar!
We will then rotate to the 3 place in the building that we haven't encountered with our 'leader' for 30 mins.
At this point we will reconvene and determine the most active part of the building and all go to that area as group. We are hoping that a seance can be performed at this point and the combined energy will result in some interesting outcomes
At the end, we will gather in the bar to discuss everything we have encountered and compare notes over another drink.
People are welcome to crash out, just don't forget your sleeping bag/duvet. So far there are at least 5 of us staying.

Our paranormal team is in place, we have lots of scientific equipment to use and Vicky has challenged me to stay in the room I find the most haunted (I always see things and hear things during work) alone, in the dark with the equipment, calling out for something to happen.

Today is the day! I admit, I’m nervous but very excited. The club looks very creepy with the decor still up and will add to the atmosphere later.
Don’t forget that we will be running round in the dark at some points of the evening so the dress code is relaxed and you can wear ‘nilla footwear’ and we will also be using our phones during this private event to record sounds etc.

ok so we're ready for our ghost hunt tonight, but the question is...are you? lol
Please be aware that some areas of the club will be in darkness during the investigation and you will be responsible for your own health and safety during the investigation. So no pranksters, acting up, jumping out etc...as this is a serious investigation and I don't want any accidents. Anyone who acts up and thinks it's funny to be a prankster will be escorted off the premises immediately.
Our doors will be open from 8.30pm and I ask that you are all in the club by 8.45pm. The gates and main doors will be locked at 9pm prompt, so if you are late..tough. The building is being locked down, so we know exactly who is in the building and where at any one time.

Thank you so much for attending the ghost hunt last night. The paranormal team and guests split into three groups and investigated different areas using different methods.
The club was active from the get go and before the investigation began we had guests see apparitions. During the event we used a spirit box and recorded what we believe to be a voice communicating with us.
Lots of footage and photos were taken, orbs galore and trigger objects were placed around the club with three of them moving.
Our medium gave lots of information that we are currently researching to try and verify. All the recordings will be checked and we will collate our findings.
A very exciting and productive evening that we will definitely be repeating it.

What a night guys!!!!
A brilliant night for our maiden voyage into paranormal investigations. The guests definitely added to the event and took it very seriously which was great. Had a few instances which made the colour drain from a few faces! Lol
There are some things that I may do differently next time but on the whole, I think we captured some great footage.
Thanks to our professionals Lee P, Trudie and Dom...and thanks to all our guests for making it a cracking night.

Holy shit what a good night. !!!! Thank you Vicki for putting this on it was brilliant. Very well organised and some very very interesting findings. I’ll certainly do it again. At least I got to sleep with the boss !!!! Lol lol |
