SWINGFIELDS 2017 - 5th Birthday spectacular

We are bringing our management team together this month to begin the detailed planning for SF17 - "5th Birthday" festival. The BIGGEST event in the UK lifestyle calendar. Not only have we radically upscaled our booking policies, security and structuring but we will ensure that following loads of messages of support and requests we see the return of some Swingfields "LEGENDS" as well as many ideas of NEW exciting things for 2017. Glamping options will now include heating and electric and the themed relaxation areas will also be heated for 2017. Loyalty ticket information has just been sent to those who attended in 2016 and already sales are flooding in, and we are delighted to announce that the "Early Bird" tickets will soon be on offer when the updated website goes live in the next few days. So, the detailed planning is underway for the "go to" event, and we will soon be announcing a series of "roadtrips" that were amazingly busy last year so we plan on revealing these earlier and also possibly adding some dates !
Swingfields 2017 will be 29th June - 2nd July 2017. We look forward to welcoming you all to Swingfields. |

Not for me I'm afraid. Too much negative media surrounding the event and I ended up Not been able to attend with no option of selling my ticket on out of pocket 150 odd quid. |

We're exactly the same. we had a wonderful time marred by how close we came to utter disaster and what has happened to our friends. we'd love to come but would need far more detailed assurance of what is actually in place before deciding whether to come.
not entirely sure that announcing it on a forum we know the press monitor and publish is sensible as it also gives them the time to react to and counteract any security measures put in place... |

We will be going however it is worth noticing the peoples veiws on security as this years was shoddy, there is a point that it was hidden cameras that the press used but the innitial security check was non existant, this doesnt deter us however there needs to be a system in place to prevent things happening again, like it was suggested prepaid cards or like download festival 2015 did "dogtags" just an idea but excited and looking at accommodation already |

Not quite true.
They could erect a 15 foot electrified metal wall around the venue to stop people with long lenses.
Deploy anti-aircraft batteries to take down any drones and/or helicopters.
Make it so everyone is nude 100% of the time they are on site, making them strip down on arrival. Then go through a full body scanner to make sure no cameras are hidden up their jacksie.
No luggage or bags allowed on site at all. No cars allowed near the venue, nor caravans.
But if the above security measures aren't in place then I agree with you 100%.
I really hope that it goes off without a hitch this year but let's be honest, if the papers want photos they will get photos. |

We would love to attend as we did this year. However we feel like it has all been brushed under the carpet. No convictions no updates and no arrests. So not for us good luck tho anyone thinking of going who don't mind being outed it's a great weekend. |

Had a fantastic time this year and last year, but came too close to having our lives torn apart by the media this year we will just not risk it, security was very shoddy this year in our opinion, we drove onto site with our dash cam clearly on display and not one mention of it, security were more interested in playing on their quads and watching the fun rather than taking care of the customers privacy. We are gutted as we really loved this event, but like others have said just can't take e chance.
We wish you good luck and hope you get it back to how it should be and hopefully you'll have us back in the future. |

We have done them all so far and really wanted to go again this year just to say up yours to the press. However we have decided to give it a miss this year as apart from Divina Sparkle last year it just seemed pretty much same as the previous years. To be honest over promised and under delivered. That is only our opinion sure others will have different ones. Maybe it was the weather? We know that had an effect as to how things were laid out and where people had to park and could not be helped but it just lacked a certain something for us. Hopefully a year off will get our mojo back. We hope all those that are going have a ball and that we end up feeling jealous of all you horny people. Anyone thinking of going for the first time should certainly give it a go as it really is a great weekend if you have never been to anything like this before. Hope to be back in 2018. |

Well, 2016 is nearly over, and we begin to look to the New Year, there are some brilliant Club parties coming up and we will be out and about.

"Well, 2016 is nearly over, and we begin to look to the New Year, there are some brilliant Club parties coming up and we will be out and about.
We thought we would throw the forum open to any positive suggestions that people would like to see at SF17 that would keep things fun and entertaining (the committee are awash with ideas) but most of what we have done in our first 5 years has been because of the strong input from our guests. Tell us what you LOVE and want to see return but also what you feel would add still MORE to this event ..... "

I won't be going this year after being plastered all over the daily mails centre news pages - Just glad they pixilated my face out! Shame really as I've been for the last two years & it was awesome but security has decreased & publicity has increased...the organisers really needs to take some professional security advice & not hire some cheap amature company who's employees actually do their job for what they are employed to do & not use their hired status to join in the fun, which many security employees did at last years event! |
