ANNOUNCEMENT - we are delighted to announce the launch of the "swingfields charity foundation" - this will be an ongoing initiative to raise money for deserving charity causes, this year it will be a local hospice , close to the festival ,and we aim to begin fundraising at our visit to the TOWNHOUSE on may 30th. Our target is to raise £1000 and we hope with some ideas we have this target will be reached and exceeded.

Bugger! sorry i deleted my post by mistake.

Anyway i had said...

Great idea! Will it be an anonymous donation or how will you put it across? It obviously doesn't bother me at all I just wondered how as we're probably not your standard bunch of fundraisers for charity lol

Lol yes a lot of charities will possibly not take it ...so we are doing it via the landowner who has agreed to donate what we are paying to rent the site so all good , and we will all know where its gone and how much , we will announce each evening what we have raised and then a grand total

We were at the first Swingfields in 2013. Booked our tickets on the Thursday night, nipped into Millets on the Friday morning to buy a tent and by 4pm that afternoon we were on the site, tent pitched and popping the cork on our first bottle of bubbly. Had a cracking time! Couldn't go last year, but upgraded this year and will be there on all three nights in our VW Campervan. Can sleep 4

If everyone donated something ,(bottle of wine, a free massage, pair of panties) I'm sure you'd raise a decent amount. Think an auction would be more fun though, it gets everyone together and could be a hilarious laugh, there's more potential to raise more than a raffle also.

"ANNOUNCEMENT - we are delighted to announce the launch of the "swingfields charity foundation" - this will be an ongoing initiative to raise money for deserving charity causes, this year it will be a local hospice , close to the festival ,and we aim to begin fundraising at our visit to the TOWNHOUSE on may 30th. Our target is to raise £1000 and we hope with some ideas we have this target will be reached and exceeded.

How about a charity auction one of the nights, I have some glass dildos (yes they are brand new/unused ), I'd be more than happy to donate a few .

That or a prize raffle .... Awesome idea bring them along

If everyone donated something ,(bottle of wine, a free massage, pair of panties) I'm sure you'd raise a decent amount. Think an auction would be more fun though, it gets everyone together and could be a hilarious laugh, there's more potential to raise more than a raffle also."

Ill speak to entertainment team to see if we can work something into the programme xx

shybloke,,,NOT according to your pics and verifications lol , don't worry, this is THE ideal event for new lifestylers and more experienced as due to the sheer size of the event then there is no pressures at all, you can get a drink, food, listen to bands, etc, peruse whats going on, and you will within minutes be making friends, the best ice breaker is simply putting tents up.....its chaos !!! lol

If people are after flags/banners then world of flags does a really good range of cheap ones. And wind creations do cheap telescopic poles and stakes.

I'm not sure where's best for custom ones though.

It's a tradition that people fly flags on their tent to tell everybody who is in the tent! lol

I have a tempting devil and a Yorkshire flag - pretty self explanatory. Some people get personalised ones made up or fly things like the bi rainbow flag or even just something brightly coloured or fun (pirate flags are popular).

It makes it easier to recognise people, to find your own tent (tricky after dark and a few drinks) and to navigate round the campsite.

Was just wondering and not sure if this has been asked or posted elsewhere.

What is the ratio and numbers of tickets to couples, single females and single males this year?

We begin by limiting single guys to NO MORE than 10% of the total, this currently is about 6%, there are a lot more single ladies this year (almost as many as single guys) and the rest couples.

WATCH THIS SPACE - We are about to announce the new FET ZONE programme, and its amazing !! Loads of workshops and demos all weekend, and even for "non fetish" people this is well worth a visit. Full details will be going out this week as we begin a series of email updates to ticket holders. If you don't begin to receive email festival updates by the end of this week let us know so we can check your email details x

Next question is do people dress up for the evening?

I have seen people post wear what you are comfortable in but I was wondering do people dress up at all. Only ask because when I go to clubs or parties I like to look smart and not sure what everyone does at Swingfields?

there is a real mix, what I would say is that generally the ladies make the BEST effort, and the guys that like to look smart certainly did last year, we had a couple of guys in a tux ! I may even wear my kilt on Saturday finale night !!!
