" We're into double figures on the thread counter now and we're 22 days away from my birthday party at Jaydee's. The theme is 1950s and the list is already awesome. However, there's always room for more lovely people. The club prices are: £31 single men £21 couples £10 women Please look at the club listing for details of how to get there. It's on the first page of the club website, giving full directions with co-ordinates but no postcode. It's bring a bottle as there is no bar licence there but there will be a buffet and dancing. I will be supplying lots of bubbly Prosecco and some Bacardi to get things started. I'll probably sort out a cake too (you've got to have cake at a birthday party). Local hotels are filling with Fab people so pick one and get yourself settled in. The club will open for us to meet up in the afternoon at about 2pm before we return to our hotels to turn ourselves into all manner of 1950s gorgeousness. There will be burgers, hotdogs and salads. So please state if you are coming in the afternoon. Jeans are allowed but I am asking you to be James Dean if you're wearing them. No trainers and look edible. I'm attending, but I found that a gents costume, unless you want to do something OTT for a 50s event is quite easy to do, especially since 50sish stuff is quite current. I have a short sleeved shirt with rolled up sleeves, thin tie, drainpipe trousers and shoes (I am yet undecided as to whether to wear white socks and roll my trousers up a bit...)
I am definitely staying in the Holiday Inn and can on;t make the evening do...happy to share lifts/a cab with whoever...
Can you get those thighs in drainpipes??
