Fab social @ Townhouse Friday 24th April

After the success of last nights social @ Townhouse, I thought I'd better get a thread started about the next one there

Friday 24th April. 8.30pm-3am (last entry 10pm).

Townhouse, Wirral (see website for details).

Fab social, open to all members of Fab as long as you're on my guest list. The club will only be open to members of Fab for this evening, so make sure you get on the guest list!

Feel free to add your name here or PM me to be put on the list.

If you're already a member of Townhouse, please bring your Membership card, if not please bring ID, no entry without one of these I'm afraid.

Although this is a Fab 'SOCIAL' all the facilities at Townhouse will be open So if you just want to be social, there is a great bar area and also an entertainment lounge or even the Jacuzzi. If you want to explore the rest of the club, feel free and if you want to be more than a bit social take full advantage of the club

The club is fully licensed as well and they have a well stocked bar and as this will be a private party for us Fabsters, you can't take your own drink, all drink must be purchased from Townhouse.

Prices for this socialare as follows

Single Female £5

TV/TS £10

Couple £15

Single Male £20

You will also need £5 deposit for your locker key, your locker number is also the number you use when getting drinks/snacks at the bar.

There are overnight stays available for this event. TownhouseTwosome will post more details about this when they get the chance.

DO book early though as places can go quite fast. Think I'll be staying over again so I can have a shandy and not have to worry about driving home

For anyone wishing to stay over for the night at this social here are some details provided by TownhouseTwosome.

'We have overnights available at ALL of the socials, so if you are travelling a distance or just want to have a drink and not worry about getting home, then you can book a room.

You can opt for a private room which is £15 for a single and £20 for a couple. Or you can opt for a semi shared room, which is your own bed/bedding (of course) but you may just share the same airspace as some other people...depends how many book. The semi shared room is £10 per person.

The rooms go very quickly so you need to book asap. If you are coming as a small group, then you may want to share a space together, which can be arranged. Just let me know!'

Please contact TownhouseTwosome direct to book your overnight stay.

To get Tea and Toast in the morning, you will need to be back down in the bar area 'before' 10.30am. You'll also need to leave the club by 11am at the latest to give the staff time to get ready to open up again

Doors open for this @ 8.30pm last entry is 10pm. Anyone that thinks they might be later than this, please let myself or TownhouseTwosome know (or ring Townhouse diect), as the first social was really popular and this one might well get near capacity and we don't want people having a wasted journey

London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street is nice and easy,regular trains and pretty fast. From Lime Street to the club I'm not sure on though. I know it's not far but I'll leave that to TownhouseTwosome or someone else to comment on

Just had a look and you can get the train from Liverpool Lime Street (MerseyRail), to Green Lane Station which take 11-12 mins and no changes. From Green Lane Station it's less than half a mile to the club, so a 7-8min walk or Taxi

Can everyone that has booked a room please remember that you need to be up and out of the club by 11am at the latest so that they can clean up ready for opening again

Also if you want tea and toast in the morning please be downstairs BEFORE 10.30am or you'll be out of luck.

"Just to let you all know, I don't have any private rooms left for overnights, but I have a couple of semi shared rooms left for £10 per person

Can everyone that has booked a room please remember that you need to be up and out of the club by 11am at the latest so that they can clean up ready for opening again

Also if you want tea and toast in the morning please be downstairs BEFORE 10.30am or you'll be out of luck. "

Also if people want to play musical beds after they have been allocated then that's fine with me! Some people swapped rooms last time to erm...keep somebody else company and I have no problem with that! lol I know you have your room at the end of the night, what you choose to do with it, is up to you!

Lee may I suggest that the recommendation made by a few regarding asking people to confirm in advance by buying the ticket via the ticketing service provided via the Townhouse website. Because I don't think it's fair to you the organiser and the club for people to put down their names and then decide not to turn up and most of the time they don't even give a heads up that they won't be attending.

I think you will get a true number once people put money where their mouth or in this instance finger is.

This is just my suggestion buddy.

It is a good suggestion, and I can see where you are coming from, but I know myself and a few people who have their names down are travelling a fair way and staying over night. These people are serious or they wouldn't have booked hotels. Personally I think it should remain an individual's decidion about whether to buy tickets in advance or not

I'll be having a word with TH tomorrow about using the ticketingservice for the next daytime social there and also sorting out dates etc.

I won't be doing it for this social as it's already been advertised like this for a while, though I may consider it for future evening socials.

It wouldn't be a compulsory thing but those that did book tickets in advance would of course get guaranteed entrance especially if getting close to capacity numbers for the club.
