Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

We're about 80 days away from my birthday party at Jaydee's.

The theme is 1950s and the list is already awesome. However, there's always room for more lovely people.

The club prices are:

£30 single men

£20 couples

£10 women (I think)

It's bring a bottle as there is no bar licence there but there will be a buffet and dancing.

I will be supplying lots of bubbly Prosecco and some Bacardi to get things started. I'll probably sort out a cake too (you've got to have cake at a birthday party).

Local hotels are filling with Fab people so pick one and get yourself settled in.

The club will open for us to meet up in the afternoon at about 2pm before we return to our hotels to turn ourselves into all manner of 1950s gorgeousness.

There will be burgers, hotdogs and salads. So please state if you are coming in the afternoon.

Jeans are allowed but I am asking you to be James Dean if you're wearing them. No trainers and look edible.

It's a cream lace play suit. The bottom bit is French knicker style. That's kinda 1950's isn't it?

I've been practicing 50's hair styles, went out last night with my hair rolled & pinned up ~ looked pretty good for 1st attempt but need way more bobby pins to keep secure & in place!!

I wanted mine like that but firstly I don't think it'll be long enough I'm trying to grow it out, and if the last Jaydees party is anything to go by it'll be a mess halfway through the night anyway

I've tried all three on with the petticoat and I've gone back to wanting to wear all three. I love the way they look on me.

I just need the sheepdog bra now.

I think the hair will work in a sort of Gina Lollabrigida way.

I'm wearing the suit I got married in 21 years ago. I've had it altered and taken out but sadly there wasn't enough material for the waistcoat

It the same suit Al Pacino had made in Scent of a Woman. I've had a Google of 50's men fashion and I think it fits. No dress for Mrs P yet but she has her eye on a few.

I've just looked at every available option. It's £40 just to get to London from here. Ridiculous seeing as it's less than 90 mins! London out to Jaydees is only £15 on top of that.. I'll sort something though!! There's no way I'm

Not sure where you are looking for fares but I looked on a train company's website earlier in the week for tickets and they also seemed very expensive. Then went to thetrainline and found much better prices.
