If you are not interested in getting any new songs then ignore this message. If you are then please get them as soon as possible as there are restrictions on karaoke tracks and it is a case of get em while it is available.
The reason :-A recent announcement by the PRS (the society responsible for granting licenses & collecting/distributing royalties for song writers & publishers in the UK) has been made informing all UK karaoke suppliers that a restriction on all digital download & streaming karaoke usage of a selection of well known song writers will come in to place on July 1st.
This means that many songs written or performed by the following artists will no longer be available to download or sing online from July 1st.
Here are some of the Artists currently restricted and that are being taken off the download sections from our suppliers.

Just noticed karaoke mentioned in another forum "when is gay really gay"
One answer, Whalen they sing Abba on karaoke lol. So come on all you abba fans. You can sing what you like on our karaoke. Multiple gender singing.

Re posted so at least people can thing I can actually spell houston and other things.
Anyway, we are still hovering around the forums just had a lot of things going on but still checking back here. We will be getting the updated song list up soon. Bear with us. We had a PM saying "I didn't quite understand the list of artists whose songs are now restricted"
Let met explain as I may have not mentioned it before. Any songs we have already are fine.
The restrictions are only in place when buying new songs by those artists. They have been taken off a lot of the websites for sale so it may be difficult to get songs that we do not already own.
Hope I worded that well. |

Wow what have we started. A few years ago we looked at introducing karaoke to different swinging clubs to the response that people go to a club and play so no. Well Xtasia gave it a go to show that people like to have a bit of singing fun too. Now everyone is doing it. So singing and swinging is getting a more regular now..... So come on, be part of it. Come down to _tasia, have a sing and then have a swing. The nights are fun and if you do not sing you will still be entertained before you go off to play. |

When we were first mentioning karaoke to people there were mixed views.. I remember telling a couple back at the start about the karaoke and their reaction was not good. Talking to them on Saturday they were saying that it was not their sort of thing until they came to the club on a karaoke evening and it changed their mind. It was nice to hear. So remember even if the karaoke is not your thing the rest of the club is open.... You never know... You may like it.....you are not expected to sing and we promise not to lock you in the room. So if you want to join us Saturday get your names down and join us. Looking forward to seeing you there. |

Great night, some really great singers, and some, well, maybe not 'talented' in the traditional sense but showed true enthusiasm and a 'give it a go' spirit! 
Alas, we built up courage to play a little before we built up the courage to sing!
