club amour.........what a let down

we couldnt believe the opening party was so disorganised, at 7pm you put up that it wasnt going to open until 9pm. we had already left home so didnt see the update. when we got there there was no signage to show where the club was, if it hadnt been for the workmen we wouldnt have known where it was the street was filthy we saw rats and there was dog mess everywhere. we left and went to another club, as did numerous other couples.

In regards to the above comments & In response, I would like to state that whilst, naturally, you are completely entitled to make your criticisms & express your point of view, on the whole, however, I really do think that they're quite harsh...

First & foremost I am not an apologist for anyone here! - Nevertheless I feel compelled to state the obvious - however cliché! & point out that it is a well known & widely accepted fact that All new ventures have some teething problems. I was a guest also (I understand the official opening is next weekend)

There was an issue with the fire alarm hence the opening time being put back at the eleventh hour - Public Health & Safety must always come first - however understandably frustrating & inconvenient! Regarding the signage, or lack thereof (did I mention the official opening is next week) in fairness the address was clearly posted here on the Forum some time ago, & Park Street is, as far as I could see anyway, a cul-de-sac, (self explanatory) off the main drag & right in the heart of the city centre! I'm Dyspraxic & Dyslexic for goodness sake so If I could find it, believe me, anyone could! Whilst I would cede there is no, as yet anyway, swanky neon signage to the exterior of the club,(there's ample inside!) there were however Doormen present all evening, & a substantial queue of guests patiently awaiting entry from early on. If, as you say, & I'll take you at your word, that as well as yourselves "numerous other couples" left well then, honestly, that really is a pity! As for the 'rats... and dog mess everywhere..." - Surely that's a matter for Manchester City Council & not the Proprietors & Management of the Club?! I Imagine when sourcing a location for this kind of bespoke venue that a balance has to be struck between discretion & accessibility (again self explanatory) It really is a shame that you & the other guests you mentioned did not - ( along with the other 150 - 200 guests who by all accounts had a ball & were delighted that they all came;) ) - get to see & experience, let's face it, the most important 'Interior' of Amours which truly is a sight to behold - It really is stunningly beautiful & the pictures I saw posted online on Friday, lovely as they are, simply do not do it justice - they really don't!

I don't know if I mentioned it, but I'm told on good authority, that next weekend, The Official Opening

Will Include, a Vip guest list, lots of treats, surprises, & Adult fun!

Bit long winded are you the owner ? was a little hard to find wont be back sorry lots of the comments the couple you reply to are true sorry but yes next week to open would have been better as the club was not finished take it on the chin and put the problems right

Had a absolute ball last night. Yes there might of been a few teething problems but it certainly didn't stop our fun. We will definitely be back and well done amour you did brilliant xx

My opinion is if they knew it wasn't going to be fully ready till next week,they should have offered all people on the guest list free entry, as this would have been a better way of getting people's opinions and working on them to improve it for the grand official opening next week. The problem now is a lot of people walked away before even handing money over and people who stayed didn't really enjoy themselves so potentially will have lost a lot of custom. The only possible way they can get them back is to offer everyone who attended a free or discounted entry when it is fully finished and problem free. Many clubs take years to get right from what I've heard. This club could be another great club once all the issues are sorted. We would give them another chance but only in a few months when we see and hear good reviews. Karl and Lisa were great as always and I'm sure they will sort it all out soon enough
