Xtasia Karaoke Takeover
You may have seen many messages on here about what song you would sing on a karaoke. Well it is time to put those messages into action as we are taking over Xtasia for one night of karaoke sing n swing. On Monday the 16th December Xtasia are opening their doors for a club night with a difference - There will be a karaoke there. Jacuzzi, sauna, dogging area, cinema, playrooms, lounge and bar all open with the chance to put all these messages into action.
You need to be a member (Xtasia will be taking new members on the night but to save time why not sign up on the website in advance).
The cost....
Couples £10
Single males £10
Single females free
Just let us know if you want to come and we will add you on the guest list. |

We have been asked about the song lists. There are about 12,000 karaoke songs and in all types of genre. We think we have covered every decade there is possible, rock, pop, latest chart, duets, daft songs, you name it and there is a high chance we have it. If there are any obscure songs that you would like then please messages us and we can do our best to make sure we have it on the night (Chances are we probably already have it) |

Song list.
Got the odd few messages asking if we have certain songs, feel free to ask in here too or private message me. We have thousands of songs but there is always the slight possibility we may not have your favourite. Ask in advance and we will make sure we have it. I can not give a link to a song list as fab will no doubt kick my tush for putting an external link up. |

CALLING DRIVERS
I am getting a lot of PM's with people so wanting to come to the karaoke but they live a distance. If you want to come but cost of fuel or distance puts you off, have a word with your swinging friends in your area and mention this. If they want to come then do a car share. They could keep you company on the journey and bung a few quid towards fuel or buy you a drink (non alcoholic of course). It would be a shame that distance is stopping people, we would love to see you all.  |

INFORMATION.
First of all as you can see Paul has kindly put up the karaoke song list on the site. So you can look at the ever growing song list in advance.
PLEASE ADD MAYBE'S TO THE LIST
Now we know that you are not just coming to the karaoke to sing eh.... When you put some songs in we will give you a ticket with a bar code on it and you will be set to available to sing.
If you decide you want to go off for a wander round the club for a smoke, a walk around or a play, going home or you do not want to be called up for a bit as you pass the karaoke just scan your ticket (the same way as when you enter Xtasia). The karaoke will put a DO NOT DISTURB against your name and you will not be called up. When you are available to sing just scan your ticket again and the DO NOT DISTURB will be taken off. This saves your name being called out a few times disturbing whatever you may be doing at the time
To assist us, if you are a maybe please add your name onto the list too. We get a rough idea of roughly how many DO NOT DISTURB tickets to be printed.
Also do not forget that if you can not find a song on the list please let us know and we will do our best to see if we can get it for you.
The song list may have a few copies of each song. It would take weeks to remove them, the system will pick the correct version. |

Thanks for asking for songs. We will add any that we can if we do not have them. This is only possible if the songs are available to buy. We will do our best to locate them so if there are songs please let us know as early as possible so we have time to get them.

Just had the pleasure of the karaoke team in the building all day checking it all works. We actually had real fun with it, I personally try to hide normally, but enjoyed every minute. Great kit, sound quality, even made me sound good every so often, lol. Looking forward to it now!! |

TIME SAVER - TIME SAVER
If you would like to save a bit of time when you do come to the karaoke. Rather then spend time looking in the books for songs on the night why not look now online in the events section of the _tasia website. Then if you pm us with songs that you may consider singing we will log it to your name on the system This means when it is your turn to sing you can come up to us and your personal list of songs will come up to choose from. From experience we know that once the music is playing people will forget the songs that they wanted to sing.
You can easily choose on the night but the last thing a lot of people want to do is search through a book of over 12,000 songs to see what they want to sing. Why not do a lot of it in advance. Gives you some social time rather then people with heads in books. Message us your requests and we will add them to the system for you. |

Hi, does your karaoke have a key change?
In a straight forward answer ... yes 12 keys each way.
In long.... It has 24 key changer and can also go between them as well so hundreds really.
REASON.....
In doing karaokes we like people to sing what they want to sing. A lot of people will not sing one of their favourite tracks because it was performed by a different sex artist.
An Example... The Greatest Love Of All on our karaoke was nearly always sang by a women. Do guys not like the song.... Yes they and some can sing it very well they just do not. People get nervous in what others think of them when are singing so a guy may be put off singing what "appears" to be a females song. First of all we encourage people to sing what they want and secondly..... google the greatest love of all. You will find it was written by a couple and first performed by George Benson in 1977 and it was nearly 10 years later it was covered by Whitney Houston. So originally it was sang by a male.
The key change is of such a great range we can suit just about any song to a singer. If anything is going to sound silly it is going to be the backing singers who have no choice but to sound like Lee Marvin or Akon singing Lonely. So remember, if you like a song sing it. Songs are unisex. The only thing you sometimes have to think about is if you sing something like....
Stand By Your Man.
You may wanna change a few words round and you can get a laugh in how you do it to when trying to make them fit.
Sometimes it's hard to be a woman. Giving all your love to just one man.

And the chorus....
STAND BY YOUR W'MAN......
So with less then a week to go, check out the sing list on the Xtasia site in events and pick songs you WANT to sing not what you think you should sing.
Slow, fast, male female..... Your choice.
And do not forget, if you send us a message of songs you would be interested in singing then we can put them on the system in advance for easiness on the night where you will not have to go looking through books. |

The karaoke night was great !
The set-up was flawless, the sound full, the people who came and listened were kind (!) and the singers were uninhibited and brave ! We had a fun time and really gave the old and new songs the proper treatment.
Don't miss out if it happens again!!!!
