I hate to say it but I just bottled it and went home for that reason. I was almost there after a two hour drive, all of the two hours were spent wondering what I would do other than wander round aimlessly. "I'm an introvert at heart and as a bi man find the sauna a good place for gay fun, on tap if you like, but the social aspect of the swinging nights is a totally different kettle of fish. I think there are quite a few men who wander around expecting it to be all 'wham bam thank you mam!' like a gay event. But it's about putting the work in to get to know folks and form a connection. I totally get that. As a bang average guy in every department I struggle to put myself 'out there' for fear of being knocked back. And the one actual great interaction I had at this event (months ago) culminated with the woman eventually saying she didn't want to meet me again. Even though she said she enjoyed our time. You need a much thicker skin than mine and a big slice of confidence and the ability to take a 'no' and I guess I'm not really cut out for that, so once again shan't be attending. I usually just leave thinking how unattractive I must be to both sexes (which is mad because people have actually told me I'm actually very nice looking in real life ha!). | |||
