“I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo. “So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”...
HM Government has taken unprecedented actions in the last few weeks, most notably for us here in the liberated lifestyle the action of temporarily closing venues from this evening. this is just the beginning of an upward curve of action, in order to preserve life.
As a club we've been following HM Government advice, often on an hourly basis as new research, data and legislation changes, and continue to tell members to follow advice regarding self-isolation and social distancing.
We've been in constant contact with our wonderful local authority and local NHS Sexual Heath Team, and pass on our gratitude to their momentous efforts at this time. Further afield, we've been in contact with other clubs, party organisers and businesses, offering support and advice where we can, and virtual hugs where we can't.
Our amazing members have been fantastic, and we'd like to say 'Love you too' back to them, and hopefully to see them very soon from next week in our virtual club, from the safety of our own bedrooms (if we close the curtains or not depends on our exhibitionist nature). We're still continuing our workshops online too, and we'd also like to support our amazing musicians when they're live streaming online.
These are very strange, scary times, full of misinformation, confusion and panic... but it's not all bad. There are glimmers of hope, but only if we work together.
We're a club of swingers, kinksters and liberated adults, a club that understands that sharing is caring. Now is the time to show the world by example that we can work together as a team (our orgy and gang-bang loving friends know this first hand!) We can use our positive, fun-loving attitudes for good. We can be the random adults to offer a kind word and a smile to nervous strangers in the street (just like we do in any swinger's club in the world). We can use our amazing social skills, creativity, resourcefulness and enthusiasm for life to help others around us, from picking up the neighbour's shopping, to supporting those amazing key workers in our lives over a cup of tea (virtual or in person at home).
Life will change from now on. There will be no huge opening parties as we enter an age of safety and caution, letting that upward curve gradually decline to manageable levels in order to reduce the massive strain our NHS is going to face. We will be 'socially distancing' for many months. We don't need to be 'socially distant' in terms of love and care. We're different people now then we were this morning.
Keep safe and we'll see you online xxx
