I fucked off to be honest.
Boris has said that people should AVOID pubs, clubs and restaurants but left the choice to the public and business owners. This will mean that businesses can't claim compensation from the government and will probably mean that we can't claim from our insurance for loss of revenue.
It's a shit trick to avoid helping us all out.

"Of course!
I thought it was an odd statement, rather than giving a mandate to close like other countries, but when you think about the government/insurance claim aspect it makes sense
Cun*s!"
Would not quite put it in those terms.....!! |

To be honest Vicky we were waiting for that to happen since last week, Boris is only like the head of the family with 3/4 kids can’t spend unless the moneys coming in, or you can borrow, and like you and I borrowing it’s got to be paid back at some stage, trouble is the family next door is in the same boat ( lot of the world )
Just imagine what it’s going to cost the country ,
but problem is, the country’s income is not an endless pit
Well I might be wrong, just my opinion, but what I do know for sure our country has one mega problem at the moment, and it’s not going to go away guickly either, this is just the weather before the storm for us xx |

Oh I get that, but he did say that they would help businesses affected, but by handing the choice over, it means that we don't HAVE to close and if we choose to close, then this will probably make any claim void.
Insurance claims will also only be valid if we are forced to close. So he stuffed us right up! He's deferred all responsibility and stopped us from claiming for our loss.
The choice may be taken for us with Public Health anyway, but Boris has made our situation that bit harder.
Nice one |

and yet in France . . .
The French president also announced major support for businesses, including not having to pay taxes and bills, so "not a single French person will be left without resources."

to be honest with the amount of backlash coming from that statement vicky I am almost willing to bet you there is going to be some sort of clarification to it tomorrow where the wording is going to chance to help business...... |

I came to the same conclusion Vicky, passing on the responsibility and liability back to the business owners. When he said that they would try to help businesses and individuals that are financially impacted he had no details or clue as to how.
I hope you can stay open for as long is practical and sensible to do so.
Just a side thought how about if you are forced to close for any period of time you sell 'gift vouchers' to be used when you re-open. That way some of us could help to support you a little in the interim?
Cheers,

Vicky ... when we got closed down, when the council said we needed that license, because of the way the council had worded it, although they were in the wrong they managed to wriggle out of it, Because of the wording
We have a good solicitor to, and because of that we weren’t able to claim loss of earnings from our insurance
And then there’s all these peeps on here that think it’s easy running a club xx Jaydee |

I’ve just been reading up on ours and other insurers policy conditions pertaining to forced closure due to disease and the majority only cover specific diseases, not just a general closure.
Axa have said they wouldn’t have been able to asses the risk for an unknown disease so no cover exists.

My sympathies..surely the insurance should cover the forced closure...due to a formal announcement, martial law type decree.etc ..new diseases are the ones that cause these problems, Zika, Ebola...etc ...and by definition won't be known until it hits ...sickness cover policies ...cover you if you are unable to work due to sickness regardless of a diagnosis.....I suspect after this companies will be wanting a recording of their policies...if they are prepared to pay for it... |

It strikes me that this thing is far bigger than Political parties of ANY colour, and we should regard it as such, and not use it to bash anyone's political beliefs.
In our daily life, maintain heightened hygiene standards, and avoid close company.
In our " Fab " lives, it's this second point which causes the issue. I don't believe many of us go to clubs to watch from a safe distance, so for our own health reasons, we won't be attending clubs for the foreseeable future, which is a real shame as we have some free weekends coming up too.
Stay safe out there, and as soon as things are safe again, PLEASE support our excellent clubs |
