It seems the OP changed their mind on the post, but feel the current situation is too big not to be chatting about it on this forum. Here's a statement from Townhouse Vicki from the last thread that for us, sums up the current position nicely:
We have and will continue to stay in contact with Public Health and take guidance from them, based on scientific fact and information which is changing everyday.
Boris said yesterday that it is highly likely that pubs, clubs and restaurants will be closing after next weekend, but I will be speaking with Public Health again tomorrow to see if this will be brought forward for venues such as ours.
For those saying clubs are all about the money, it's a fine line. Most clubs are not big money making businesses anyway. Overheads are VERY high in our game and at this time of year, most of us tread water to stay afloat. We also have overheads whether we are open or closed and it is unlikely that non essential businesses like ours will favour from any government hand out. We are also self employed, so no sick pay or benefits for us while we are closed.
This is our reality folks. We don't just play around at this. We have a venue which leaks money every month whether we have customers or not and we have a mortgage and bills to pay in our private lives.
If we close, which is looking likely, then for how long? There is only so long that a business can stay closed and still pay it's outgoings, before it's not viable. Businesses have contingency funds but they only last a short time. Insurance in our game is complicated and I will be chatting to our insurer tomorrow to see if we can recoup anything through this crisis... I think it could be a 'No'.
So for those who are slagging us all off for staying open, there are lives behind these kinky walls, there are obligations to others and there are potential terminal outcomes. So I WILL NOT be lead by people on here almost bullying clubs who stay open. I will continue to take a lead from Public Health and government recommendation.
I think all clubs will be quieter at the moment but for those who have 'braved the storm' so far, I hope you remain fit and well.
If/when clubs are told to close, it could be a long while before we open again. Some may not re-open at all if it's hit them hard. A month out of business will be enough to shut some clubs down. Is anybody actually check how many people die or is infected by flu each year.
We had friend who die from flu, was healthy before no issues.
Do we isolate or behaves like this when flue is active?No.
If club stay open we will support it visiting |

It the high infection and mortality rate and to use the sound bite " health before wealth".With flu there is a vaccine you my only get a mild flu with Covid it's much more infectious and clever how it affects different factions of society .Demographically it's over 70s and people with compromised health . If someone later identified as a carrier at the club think of the cost to get professional cleaners in. To inject humour in in a British way you would be inundated by the demographic here on fab . |

I have just been researching about hot tubs, as I'm wanting to go to a club this week that has one. The outcome of my research has been that properly maintained hot tub could not spread the virus. |

Is there going to be a knock on effect? If there is forced isolation and people can't work they won't have an income, if that's the case we will have to cut back and club visits will have to be postponed for a while as I'm sure will be the case for others. |

People could, what I mean is that it seems that if you are making the choice to go to a Club, you can use the hot tub without putting yourself at further risk. Or at least that's how I understood the information I found. |

Instead of opening for club nights surely clubs can still hire out their rooms for personal use? I know some places hire out their dungeons or have other income generating ventures such as make up and dressing for TVs individually.
For some clubs it may only be the large events that are affected and the other income generating pursuits can still continue.

Someone can be infected, without knowing it, you only have to be near them, it’s spread on there breath, they could be spreading it for well over a week without knowing it, that’s why we have to change out lifestyle, keep out of their space |

While not in the adult industry I stand to loose my businesses which are events, we are keeping calm and carrying on. We are low risk, we work to live a OK life, not rolling in it, have no back up funds same as most small businesses, I'm actually more bothered from the backlash and reactions to those what I consider to be, over panicking |

People actually forget about this point,world didn’t stop.we need to live and think about future.
Sitting at home will not bring us benefits.we need eat,pay bills etc.
Its easy to get in to debits,then struggling years to pay out |

Insurance in our game is complicated and I will be chatting to our insurer tomorrow to see if we can recoup anything through this crisis... I think it could be a 'No'.
So for those who are slagging us all off for staying open, there are lives behind these kinky walls, there are obligations to others and there are potential terminal outcomes. So I WILL NOT be lead by people on here almost bullying clubs who stay open. I will continue to take a lead from Public Health and government recommendation.
I think all clubs will be quieter at the moment but for those who have 'braved the storm' so far, I hope you remain fit and well.
If/when clubs are told to close, it could be a long while before we open again. Some may not re-open at all if it's hit them hard. A month out of business will be enough to shut some clubs down. But when we do, I hope you will continue to support your local clubs and help them get back on their feet rather than attending private parties with almost zero overheads and pocket money for the organisers. We work hard for you guys and this is a time when we will all need your support to get back on track.
This is a game and a bit of fun for all of you, but for club owners this is our reality and our livelihoods and your local clubs will need you more than ever if we have to close.

I followed the last thread with great interest. I dont blame clubs for staying open. For the owners it is their livelihood. The government has advised the public what they should be doing. We all have our own choices to make. I hope all businesses can survive this difficult time. |

lol the virus doesn't just come and disappear its a virus like the flu virus it comes and goes forever unless a miracle cure is found, the self isolation thing is great for those in a position to do it but not for those that aren't, you can't isolate effectively anyway you need things to survive not excluding money, life goes on |

Someone can be infected, without knowing it, you only have to be near them, it’s spread on there breath, they could be spreading it for well over a week without knowing it, that’s why we have to change out lifestyle, keep out of their space"

The clubs management have made the decision to close the club on Sunday 22nd March.
This is a controlled run / shut down of the club events on top of the measures we announced some days ago.
All current events, until that date will go ahead as planned. We will then periodically review the situation, taking advice from local health authorities & central government decisions.
This approach will allow the business / staff to mitigate risk to both themselves and our loyal customers.
Our staff have been fantastic in support of the club & we give them our thanks & look forward to the future when we are able to re-open. Our staff have families, bills etc to pay like everyone else.
This leaves attendance as a CHOICE for each & every customer to make for themselves and their own personal circumstances.
We trust this step presents a sensible approach to what is a truly awful and terrible unprecedented global health threat. Stay safe / stay healthy xxx Cupids. |

The government clearly aren't doing enough to help. Italians complained their government weren't quick enough to action. I'd say they were pretty quick compared to this government of ours.
Month ago their government suspended utilities costs. They've suspended mortgage payments. They are injecting money to support the public who will suffer because of isolation and lockdown.
Our government doesn't want to support the poorest and doesn't want to support businesses. Britain need to take a leaf out of other governments books otherwise infrastructure will collapse when employees can't attend work but they can't afford not to work. People will lose their livelihood and their homes in debt caused by the virus and lack of government support. Italy providing childcare vouchers for those whose children are on lockdown from schools because people still need to work and children still need to be cared for.
People say what do you expect the government to do? Well a lot more than they are doing that's for sure.
This government is based on greed it's a sad fact. Our economic situation hangs in the balance, they think it was bad enough with the amount unemployed before the virus, if businesses aren't supported and workers aren't supported they won't have jobs to go back to. Unemployment numbers will skyrocket.
You can't blame businesses for staying open when the government won't support the people.
If your sick stay home if youre not then support businesses best way you can.
As I said weeks ago it won't be viruses or natural disasters that destroy the world it will be greed. |

I'm in the same kind of business and feel the exact same way, the season was just beginning for me after a long winter. Now it's been put on hold by this virus.
