Townhouse newbies night on the 9th

Hey folks,

We're planning on heading to the newbies night at Townhouse on the 9th...based on other posts on here there will be a warm welcome, although we're still a little nervous about it, as we've not done anything like this before! Who's going to be around?

I know the website says they've got a car park, but would we be better train-ing/taxi-ing? What would people say is the best time to turn up? Don't want to be the first ones there, but similarly, don't want to arrive when it's too busy as we don't want to struggle to hear over the general hubbub!

If you both want a drink, then train/taxi if not the car park is safe and covered by CCTV. Newbie nights are normally good nights and not overly busy so you won't feel too overwhelmed. Opening time is 7.30pm so aim to arrive between then and 8.30pm. You'll get a tour of the place and all the rules will be explained to you. Make sure you have a good look at the website as most things you need to know are covered on there.

I'm sure you'll have a great time as the club is lovely and the staff are great!

Newbies night you say... Might be worth us having a look into that, not too far away. I know Mr is super keen to get back after poping our club cherry at SX New year's Eve

Hey guys! I’ll be there on Thursday, but it’s super friendly & relaxed, so you will be fine!!

As Lee said, if you both want a drink, get a taxi over. It’s only just the other side of the Birkenhead tunnel, so it’s not far. But the car park is secure & monitored if you’re driving!

Newbies will get a tour of the club, and to make sure that can be done before it gets too busy, you ideally need to be there by 8.30. Dress code is smart casual, with lingerie / boxers / towels for dress down.

Dress down is entirely optional, so don’t worry if you feel you need to build up to that!! And you can get towels from the club, or bring your own.

You will need ID - driving licence is perfect, or photo ID plus something with your address on, like a utility bill or Amazon invoice. And there is a £10 deposit for your locker key, which needs to be paid in cash, but everything else can be paid either by cash or on a card

Hope to see you there!

M x

We'll be there socialising on Thursday and it may even be me doing your tour.

It's a cracking night for your first. We usually get between 45 and 65 people in so it's busy enough to get a feel for how it all works without being overwhelming.

The other guys have kindly answered your questions, so I won't repeat anything they've said.

Hopefully we will see you there

Vic and Jim xx

Can anyone recommend a nearby hotel?

This will be my first visit. I usually stay in Liverpool centre when I’m in the area but thought I’d try and find something closer if I’m going to attend.

Both the premier inn Birkenhead and the travel lodge bromborough are close. The premier inn the closest. I’ve stayed in both. I think the village hotel is close by as well x

Hey folks- We're considering the taxi option to get there tonight- is it the done thing to just get the taxi to the front door, or is there somewhere sensible nearby to arrange it to?

We are so well known in the area that taxi's don't even flinch when you say Townhouse now, so I wouldn't worry. However, there is a Greek restaurant just around the corner which some people use as a drop off point if they want more discretion; it's called Epirus xx

Thanks to the various people we met tonight, especially to Little Vixen for the tour and 'Stewart' who came over to chat to us for a bit- can't remember if he said he's on here! We didn't really get up to much, but it was a big step for us, so even just sitting around taking in the atmosphere was great!

Sorry for the thread hijack

Could someone point me in the direction of correct person to contact regarding attending?

I am Scottish and a single night fem so would be attending on my own and would appreciate my hand held

I haven’t decided on a date or anything yet but have kept an eye on various threads regarding clubs and this seems to be my front runner.

I have never attended one before and Glasgow is out of the question for me
