Hey does anyone know the entrance fees per night for Chams? We can see the membership but not on the night fees. Debating going chams or Xtasia tomorrow (today now) but deciding if we want to risk the money for nothing. (we haven't had much luck) thanks xx |

Personally I feel going to a club is the experience in itself, and it's always going to feel a waste of money if you have expectations. If you just go hoping to chat to people. make new friends and be in a liberated environment, then clubs are great places to go, if you're worried you'll be paying money to get nothing then it might not be the right place for you to spend an evening. |

Some people have less schillings than others , so in turn they have to shop around to find more bang for their bucks..... |

I think the couple's entrance fee is approx £30. I've found thag Chams tends to busier on Friday's than Xtasia on average, although Xtasia is busier when an event is on (foam party, FFFF etc). |

I think it's a lot easier to have this point of view if it's very cheap or often free for single ladies .. |

Couldn't have said it better. Some people have some strange expectations from swinging clubs.... We always go out and have a great night no matter what
Chams is on our to do list |

I think you might find chameleons is a members club unless there is an event on and your on the guest list, there is normally a waiting list for single male memberships but give them a ring and check as you maybe able to join on the night as a couple or single lady |

Hi.. the only way to know if you are going to have a good night is to go and do it and see what happens. Going to a new club is always a leap of faith. As for entry fees I've no idea maybe a quick phone call could answer that for you.
Remember this though the facilities in a club are only a part of what makes a good night out, the rest is down to you and the other people attending. Good luck for the future. |

"Bloody expensive on your first visit, never been back either. "
Thats what has kept us from going really. By the time we pay for accommodation and fees like you say it works out a very expensive night and we haven't even mentioned our travel costs. We have said for 3 years now we'd go but still due to the expense its still in the planning stage |

"Bloody expensive on your first visit, never been back either. "
But at least for couple and single ladies the membership fee is a one-off, unlike the single male membership. |

"That is quite expensive. We went to another club and didn’t like it so never went back. If we go chams we better like it!"
And that is what puts us off. Very expensive night out. We want to go but still can't get over the expensive night out. Those prices don't even include our travel from Durham |

When it's £15 and no membership to get into Attic, that's a big difference and we've met folk in Attic who have been to Chams and say Attic is much better it makes for a very hard decision, do we go to Attic where we always have a good night or lay out lots of extra pennies. Think we've just answered our question really |

"You could always go on a party night when membership is not required to see if you think it's worth becoming members xx"
I was just gonna say that, that way you get to make up your own mind as everyone prefers different clubs, me personally I've been to many places over the last decade and always go back to chames in the midlands even though I live over Swansea way yet I have other friends that prefer other clubs |

We have been to Attic and while it's a decent enough club it is not quite to the same standard as Chams.
As to the question is it worth paying the money to go to Chams, only you can answer that. |

Seconded....
We have been to the Attic once (note once and will only be once too lol)...
Different clubs of course. Chams is a 'dress down' .. Attic is 'dress down but with clothes'
You could also try Xtasia if you are visiting Chams .. its a 'dress up' club.
Agree on costs though... We paid the best part of £100 to go to Libertys (had to join)... never again.
Minefield
Have fun whatever you do |

Libs is another one we have thought about trying! We went the attic years ago. Enjoyed it was a little “rough and ready” but apparently it’s different now. We were going to go the other week but didn’t get round to it. |

Libs may be best on a 'party night' where you try before you buy... We did go on a party night but they insisted on membership so it cost us a fortune for the night... lovely bar area (they insisted on no play though).. but the play area was a letdown (personal view of course)... one big clinical room with a dated hot tub and a few beds etc.
Attic... we went in December last year on a party night... erm... Tracksuits a plenty... ok so #snob lol, but we drove for 2hrs and booked a hotel etc for a 'nice poncy night' out lol ... nope
Tbh we like to have a bit of a dressup though so there are limited options for us tarts... they all have their faults eh... gotta keep looking |

Like we said we have met people who have been to Chams and they say they like Attic more. But as we all know whats good for one is not good for another. If everyone liked the same club there'd be only one |

Ron has done a lot of work over the last few years, the place is huge now with endless amount of themed rooms. We've tried Xtasia, Townhouse but in our opinion they're no where near as good as Attic. Our next plan was Chams but as we travel to Derby and then while down that way travelled to other clubs and didn't enjoy, we are now reluctant to spend all the extra pennies to be disappointed when we can go to Attic and have a great night no matter what. As someone just said, its a minefield |

Yes we didn’t expect the trainers and track suits at the attic either. We went xtasia wasn’t for us. But that’s just our opinion we know a lot of people really rate it. We did have fun in the digging area though! |

We've never seen trainers or tracksuits at the Attic, we have seen people being turned away at the door in trainers, tracksuits and hoodies and people being told not to wear caps while in the club. We always sit at reception for a while catching up with Ron when we first go in so have seen the people who don't match dress code turned away. |

We love Chams, we find it is what we are after, we love to watch and there are plenty of places to do that. We then either go off with another couple or ourselves to the multiple private rooms and have a good old time.
To us
Dress down (Chams) = more play
Dress up (xtasia) = less play but more night club feel |

Chameleons is our favourite club there's nothing we would change about it but it is expensive so don't go as often as we would like to do,we club up to 4 nights a week traveling allover but no other clubs compete with chams,if it was cheaper we would go more on various nights |

Clubs are marmite, we love Chams and Xtasia in equal measures, both £20 lifetime membership for couples. Both Sat night couples and single fems, both rooms onsite, both very social if want (hide in corner and don't mingle then rare you'll be approached) Chams tyob but serve disposable cups we take own, £35 they have buffets this night, dressdown, disco room. Xtasia very reasonable bar, £30, dressdown to suit, nightclub with playrooms tucked away. Our preference is couples only hence Attic etc doesn't appeal tbh. Gotta find your comfort level. |
