I have been toying with the idea of trying to become a member here, I really want to try and get into the scene and have some fun!

I was involved in a fatal car crash a few years ago and as a result I have severe anxiety and PTSD... I have lost all confidence however I want to start getting that confidence back!

My main concern is that I’m a single guy and I would find it difficult to get a membership and find that person who would vouch for me on my first visit.

I moved to County Durham about 2 years ago and I still don’t know anyone (kind of sad) but my anxiety just stops me from taking that leap to socialise publicly, maybe socialising privately with people who stick to the golden rule “what happens at the club stays at the club” may help me gain that confidence.

Are there any couples, single males or females in here that can give me any advice? Happy to accept private messages if you wish to remain anonymous to everyone else, any help or tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hope to hear from you soon

First off really sorry to hear about your anxiety related trauma. Mr has similar issues from a weekend where we miscarried and he lost his grandfather in the same weekend. We were terrified on our first visit but it all melted away after we got comfortable.

The dungeon has fairly low ceilings which can be a trigger for him but having so many lovely people to talk to distracted him from it and he did great and we had a lovely time, the hardest part for us is finding another free night to go lol

My Trigger is just being in social groups, I think came from having to deal with police, insurers, solicitors etc etc I just shut down and closed myself of and have created my own safe little bubble which I am trying so hard to burst.

Thankyou for reaching out and sharing your story , makes me more determined to go and meet new people x
