You could go to any bar or shop even no I'd is taken but could still happen in some form.

I agree no one should be touched without consent

Okay I'm not condoning the man's behaviour but I'm not sure how your confrontation with him after the incident would have provided the police with any credible evidence of his previous encounter with your partner?

Each club has its own rules, as you realise but there are some general principles - most places require membership, typically needing ID as well as address. Single men may often face tougher rules to get membership, requiting advance application. As licensed venues, as well storing data, they are subject to local and national club and GDPR laws

Fab will probably want to we ensure that clubs are legally compliant but perceive it the duty of the others to manage affairs - fab doesn't have large staff levels and many are volunteers.

I don't know the full details and the abhorrent behaviour is totally wrong. It would have been better to get staff to deal with him.

The heads up to us all is valuable, helping us to each clarify a clubs position on their rules etc. It's perhaps the best that can be retrieved from that awful experience.

How are the site admin supposed to police this?

They can hardly take one persons word for it, the club themselves aren't going to admit it and I very much doubt that plod will comment to some random person contacting them and asking for info.

Out of interest, were you both happy to enter the club without also having to produce ID? After all, the owner would have your details then to sort this out wouldnt he?

Youre not going to reolve anything by this thread, the status' or the bad review

So have you responsed to the clubs email requesting your full details and the crime incident number that you have reported OP? The clubs response to your negative review states that that the police have no record of the event, but you stated you reported it.

This is certainly something it would be useful to have info about before attending a club. I hadn't really thought about it. I've only been to clubs like Townhouse and they were good at checking all id.

I've been to lots of clubs in the North West, and if memory serves Townhouse is the only one that's asked me for ID.

I suspect that there's more to this story than the OP is letting on.

Uninvited touching is wrong in any situation but the following events seem abit suspect in my opinion.

Just read the club's response to so called incident and I'm impressed with the reply.

The club owners have contacted the police directly however they have no record of any incident occurring?

Something doesn't add up.

Whatever anyone may believe, the fact remains that the police could not identify a suspect emanating from a building with cameras, pens and paper in it.

Whether you take our side or the club’s, the point is that after confronting the man, in the presence of staff (on camera), this man was not identifiable even to the police. The club did not take sufficient data. Hence, we reported to a neutral actor ( police ) rather than primarily reporting to the club ( since their staff was already a witness ). Seems logical right?

Any person insensitive enough to presume to know how another person should deal with this type of situation is simply inviting karma upon themselves, family and loved ones from the universe. If you enable and embolden this type of behaviour, it is not long before you will be victimised by it in some way. Good luck with that.

There was at least one Caucasian man who witnessed the action of the Asian man and protested his innocence to the lady involved. So much for the second reviewer’s account of only two men being in the club ( during the incident ). It must be arm-chair detective season already. This is not ITV by the way. Money and fun count for nothing without safety and respect.

As above as this seems to be the issue.

You reported the alleged assault to the authorities and the club are asking for the crime incident number which is givin on all incidents no matter how small.

If you provide this to the club they can release any footage and information to the Police to carry out a thorough investigation.

The club have been open and contacted the local station to inquire if a statement had been submitted to which the club were told no.

Bad mouthing a club before an investigation has been carried out by the relevant authorities is not the correct and legal way.

Or perhaps the actual events do not align exactly with either parties account?

The non contentious point is that private members clubs (if it’s operated in that way) should have a record of members with verifiable identities. No idea if that’s the case here.

"I smell an expensive pot of libel brewing right now. "

Defamation of character.

Slander.

Allegations harmful to the club's reputation and business.

I hope they are screenshotting the OPs posts and the club feedback comments.

Also, I expect clubs speak to clubs about problematic patrons.

A less than warm reception at other clubs might be on the cards.

Before assuming that, we need to establish if a police report was even made, because even that appears to be in question.

Frankly, you're not coming across as terribly credible.

Usually the truth is somewhere in the middle of two stories, however, in this case I'm leaning more towards the clubs version of events, they make more sense. It's not a nice situation all round and I don't believe the OP has done himself any favours with this post.

It's probably more the fact that they claim the police are involved.

I didn't see the review but if there are allegations on it like this thread it isn't allowed.

Negative and positive true reviews that don't break this sites rules are never removed

To the OP...Admin have no control over what happens away from the site...be that how a club is run or what happens in that club.

Talking about serious allegations like this is not allowed on the site, go through the proper channels / take your issues up with the club in question
