Hey everyone..
Whats your opinion on the new dark room? Haven't been yet but really enjoyed the old darkroom as it was pitch black..is the new one the same? Thanks x |

Agree with you, we found it pitch dark too, not our thing. Being voyeurs and exhibitionists, it kind of defeats the purpose. However, those looking for genuine dark rooms would like it. |

It is very dark, have seen a few people go in but it’s normally fairly empty as too dark I would say. Maybe a odd red spot at the end of midway down would help. |

urgh !! barefoot in a darkroom.. no thank you.. but darker the better.. that’s the whole point of a darkroom.. you just have to move around slowly.. feel your way! mrs x |

It's not as good as the old one, nor as large  , there's a single curtain, which some people still sneak a peek through and that floods the light in. We have been a couple times now and although love it, hope the owners will add the double curtain.

We were a bit dismayed with the dark room. Basically long with Settees on one side & end.
Would have been great if it was made like a playroom with matting on the floor & raised sections with just enough light to circumnavigate safely |

So there were complaints that it was too bright and I think now they've made it darker. I agree the sofas aren't great, I find them too short to use comftably but they are a good height for bending someone over |

Tried it. It really is very dark, although fond of a dark room this was pitch black and I struggled to keep on my feet. Being groped and pushed isn’t my idea of a great experience. I think you at least need some idea of where you can sit or stand! OP4F has a great one. |

We tried it a couple of weeks ago. It was our first experience of a dark room (and club). We enjoyed part of the experience although being aggressively groped wasn't fun. Not sure we'd try it again, at least not at Abfabs (it was a couple night) |

I tried it for the first time yesterday and felt my way along the wall till I found the arm of the sofa.

Both went in there with a lady friend and before we knew it - was full of blokes being forceful and pushing for prime spots. The male ( me ) was forced out of the play. We then all left as it was too much to take - not for the faint hearted and probably best with couples. |
