Hi,
I am having my first visit to a swinging club next week. What should one wear?
I have some lingerie like Basque/babydoll type.
What about a robe or a cover up of some sort?
I'm quite nervous but excited too!!!

"OP, what you describe is fine for any club I've been to. Lingerie (not many wear robes but you can).
.
Great thanks x
I'm tempted to take a little robe

Keep it loose or undone if you can, more in keeping etc.
I was nervous my first time too! |

"What about shoes? Is it like spa slippers or proper shoes or flipflops etc"
Depends on the club. Sexy heels are popular, but there are sometimes huge stairs to handle. Guys often go barefoot, but I suspect flipflops are acceptable. When I'm not feeling heels I wear smartish ballet flats. |

Try and guage from the club website...
We went to our first club on Saturday and really appreciate the nerves but to be honest it was one of the most relaxed and friendly places we've ever been and certainly my preference to a night on the town, even if nothing happens!
Mrs. Went wearing a black evening dress and spent the first hour feeling over dressed, so got changed into a babydoll lingerie and felt more relaxed wearing that. Not many but a couple of women were there in jeans but to be honest the majority were in lingerie and half of which were barely covered if at all! Check it out online but go wearing what you feel most comfortable in
As the night wore on and after a dip in the hot tub we both wandered round in just a towel and certainly didn't feel out of place.
As a bloke I went in smart trousers and a shirt, nervous about being overdressed but for Jaydees where we went, it was most fitting and the same as most other blokes there.
The only thing we'd do different next time is mrs. Going more sexy to start with and us both taking 'easy' footwear to s slip on when just wandering in towels. |

"Thank you guys.
I think it will be Chameleons we go to x"
At Chameleons it's negligee, baby doll, sexy dresses or a towel for ladies usually with heels, and boxers or towel for gents. The club lends you the towels. If you are size 16 or more take own towel.. the club's are handtowels |

Any kind of lingerie is fine or a towel, if you need a large towel you can ask for one at the bar. You don't have to wear anything on your feet if you don't want to. I see ladies in heels and flip flops anything goes. Enjoy |

I honestly thought clubs were just ordinary casual or smart attire (e.g. jeans and T-shirt for men, or a dress for women).
Is the dress code for most clubs really just towels, boxers, lingerie etc? |

It varies by club, but dress down is lingerie, boxers, towels sort of thing. |

As you`re going to Chams, heels may not be such a good idea with all of stairs! It can be tight in parts of the club at times so there is a chance of stepping on someone`s foot with heels (been there, had it happen to me!) |

Chams is dress down straight away so it really doesn't matter what "outside" clothes you're wearing when you get there. After a quick tour of the club you'll be taken to the changing room & left to change.
Bert wears shorts (pockets come in handy!) or boxers & has started wearing a cheap pair of deck shoes (some areas can get a bit wet with the jacuzzis & showers in constant use) I wear lingerie, basque or bra & pants etc, stockings, usually a sheer neglige on top just for an extra bit of coverage or a lace mini dress (usually wearing a lot less by the end of the night though!) but to be honest anything goes for the ladies really. There are a lot of stairs but I always wear heels, makes me feel more confident & sexy but a lot of the ladies go barefoot (or like a "normal" club start in heels & end up ditching them) Wear whatever you feel comfortable & confident in. If you're unsure take more than one outfit, you'll have a locker so you can change as many times as you like, a lot of ladies do.
In our experience it's about a 50/50 split between those wearing clothes or towels.
We know how nervous & daunting that first visit is, we were bricking it! You probably won't believe us & it sounds silly but the most nerve wracking part is walking in fully clothed! We found within 5 minutes of being in there it just felt totally normal to be wandering round in our underwear because everyone else was doing the same, it's such a relaxed & comfortable atmosphere. Neither of us are "body confident" but realising we've all got the same lumps, bumps & wobbly bits has really helped both of us accept what we've got.
Wherever you decide to go & whatever you chose to wear just enjoy it & have fun! |

One thing to remember is that chances are your shoes will be coming off-(generally not permitted on the beds ) so I either don’t wear expensive shoes or take a cheap pair to switch into when things get going.
