So the missus has said you can park in the Premier Inn for a £8 charge i believe. The road from a certain point is one way only depending on how you enter.

Have fun tonight whoever's going

Her report she is very very impressed with the new venue

Must say , dress code makes me think of 80s shit nightclubs. No blue jeans!

Let me go and buy a pair of awful chinos from primark and all is good. Perhaps so 9.99 loafers to complete the look.

I can understand saying smart casual , or dress to impress , that can more than be done with Jeans.

Woeful....

Haha maybe. From reading other threads though the crowd seems older and perhaps not for us, maybe we will find the right club one day.

I think you will find a mixture of people of all ages backgrounds etc. That will be anywhere you go. It's not the same as a night club where you kinda know the age range. Swinging clubs are always different

I always wore jeans to the old club as I also hate chinos. Dark blue smart jeans not light blue scruffy ones and I never had a problem, nobody even noticed.

Everybody feels more confident when they're wearing clothes they think they look good in and if you are more confident wearing jeans then I think that's what's important. As long as you look smart I really can't see you being turned away.

I don't think you should be saying that if people come a long way and don't dress the correct way and then turned away it will be a wasted journey.....what's wrong with going out looking smart without jeans!!!!

Random question- was anyone heading to Ab Fabs in the Stanwell branch of Tesco at about 9.45 PM as there was a young lady wearing thigh length boots and a short skirt that showed off her bum cheeks marching into the store.

Nothing is wrong with going out looking smart without jeans, if that's what makes you feel comfortable, but may people, especially younger people who don't wear a suit to work or wear chinos may not feel confident going out wearing clothes they don't think they look good in. You can look very very smart in a nice pear of jeans, polished shoes and a nice shirt.

If you're worried about being turned away then you can always bring some other trousers and keep them in the car, but I think the point of their dress code is that they want people to make an effort and not turn up looking scruffy. I've always turned up looking smart (in new, dark blue jeans) and it's never been mentioned.

Blue jeans and polo shirts were fine tonight.

Great mix of folks in attendance.

New club is 18000 sq feet, was busy but emptied quite quickly.

4 private playrooms in total?

Dark room is dark, dance floor separate from bar area. Smoking area next to changing rooms.

Only 3 showers out of 8 worked.

Dungeon ??

Swimming pool cold.

No hot tub area yet.

Nice cinema area

Steam room not open.

Cosmetic and general cleaning work needed. Ie pool viewing windows and mirrors.

Staff were fantastic and friendly.

Lots of potential.

Guess the opening was rushed and cash flow was needed.

Reading back our comments are not meant as scathing but as constructive criticism.

It is a great venue but needs a lot of work. A lot of work.

I shouldn't say this but guess the owners don't listen to feedback.

Website is poor and almost unreadable.

Could be great!

My comments and opinions are my own, I open high end hotels, restaurants and spas for a living.

I have to say that we agree with you.

There is so much potential at the club but also a lot of potential for it to seem deserted as it sprawls over two floors.

Having the dance floor away from the bar just divides the attendance, the dance floor was pretty much empty all night.

Having the bar and dance floor together would make more sense and would make space for some more playrooms as there currently isn’t enough for the amount of people that can attend..

A good night and one that we’re glad we attended but there’s still more work to be done.

Pool was definitely not the 31 degrees that we were told and the chlorine levels in the jacuzzi were off the scale.

Good luck to the owners though and I’m pleased we’re members.

So many different opinions. We are just very happy there is a club within driving distance.

If the club owners listened to all of people’s opinions all 37.000 members I think they might run into trouble.

The old club took years to develop and so will this one.

It’s been open just two nights and changes will be made and yes the owners are listening.

All different options.

Only 3 so far.

Exodus would have been a perfect song choice after midnight.

There is always a select few who are in with the owners.

This forum is quiet today!

I wonder why?

A lot of us loved the old Abfabs, so the new place has a lot to live up to.

Bar prices

£4 for a bottle of peroni or a glass of prosecco

Very reasonable and staff were great and served quickly.

Also a buffet was put out in the canteen after midnight. Loved the sushi.

Special mention to the chap who gave us the tour.

He is hilarious, informative and everything a club needs.

Keep pushing those knobs

A lot of us loved the old Abfabs, so the new place has a lot to live up to.

Sorry thought I was on TripAdvisor "

Having been going to the old club for years and going on Friday I think they have done a great job.

They where broken into and vandalised on Monday. TVs, computers and other stuff stolen which set the club back at least 3 full days of work.

They are limited with the amount of people that can attend and playrooms as the local council has a restriction on this, hence the current set up. The current local council had never had to regulate a swingers club before, so the owners are doing everything by the book go ensure they can keep the club going. Once the council sees that the club is just a safe haven for us swingers I'm sure they will relax the rules and allow the club to have more play rooms. I prefer private play so waited for one of the two private rooms that where there... I'll look forward to more private rooms in the future.

I agree there should be a bar with the dance floor (on the initial tour they had said they are planning this) or the dance floor area split in half and more playrooms Added. The owners always developed the old club, reinvested their money back into the club. I have no doubt they will do the same and it shows already as they are sorting out a jacuzzi room next to the pool. Once they have their license for this they can open this section up as well.

The dungeon I personally wouldn't use as it's not my thing, however I do think it should be decorated dark with mood lighting as that's what people would expect in a dungeon. Much like the old one was like. That was spot on in the old club.

Cinema looks spot on.

Chill out/bar area looks great and invites conversation.

I did see the cabin/dark room area but didn't go in there... Will explore that next time.

Pool looks great, didn't use it as I was busy elsewhere but will in the future.

Smoking area could do with benches to sit down. I'd suggest bolting them to the ground to stop someone nicking them when the club is closed. Perhaps they have plans to move the smoking area in the future to the back of the club. Not sure.

I've been to a lot of clubs over the years and this one is a great one. I see the potential and look forward to going on a regular basis.

I'm not associated with the club or best friends with any staff, I just really like the club and it was nice to see so many old faces on Friday, both staff and other members. What I know is just from conversations I've had on Friday night.

Forum is perhaps quiet because the sun is shining.

We read, we look, we listen.

Nothing will every be perfect.

We could have stayed closed and completely finished off everything we felt should be done, but that would have meant there was very little room to change. Like every new venue there will be teething problems, and everyone has some thing they like and want and it’s never the same.

Lots of the Saturday guests want private room and big. Lots of the Friday guests want lockable room but not private.

Let’s not fight amongst ourselves we need to pull together. Yes there are people here are part of our work family and yes they make mistakes as do I and you. Be mindful ALL the staff have worked extremely hard over the last 2 months to renovate the building and rebuild the company. There is a full time team of 4 and we need 15. We are all working ridiculously long hours to get your club back. I’ve been working (admin there is way too much) 20 odd hour days on top of my home life.

We need help, support and suggestions not back-stabbing and nastiness. Let’s play nicely.

Thank you to everyone who came and for all the suggestions. X

We have a major issue with the smoking area. We can’t have it out the front, we can’t have it out the back and the only other place was by the fire door. It has to have a lid on it so we don’t break about 3 different regulations and it has to be 50% open so we don’t breach another regulation. If we move it too far we need planning permission to use a covered walk way to get to it and we are unlikely to get it. If you walk out to the smoking area and can see a window or having a cigarette and can see a window you/we/me are potentially breaching a regulation.

There is no simple answer to any of the issues that we encountered over the weekend but we are doing our hardest to resolve them and not breach.

Their is a good market out there.

Wasn’t take as anything but feedback.

I just read it as rather harsh wording and attacking my staff for a comment that they made a mistake on. I’m the one who does everything so attack me for breaching GDPR, attack me for trying to keep planning to a minimum with the smoking area, attack me for what ever opening a much wanted venue before you been it to be ready.

We are not a high end hotel or spa. It’s a new version of a much loved club. If I had my way it would be very very very different BUT I DID listen to all the feedback and suggestions we have had over the last 14 months and gone with that.

My wants don’t come into it. Yours do. I’m here to keep the venue open and at the moment that is a mammoth task.

You guys have done an amazing job of the new club, everyone involved did an amazing job. I'm personally very very impressed and by the sound of it trim might be free on Friday so we will be back infact I have a funny feeling we will be back a lot lololol

Anything I've mentioned personally is only for the benefit of the club. Smoking area didn't bother me, just looking forward to a bench to perch my backside on. A very minor thing in the grand scheme of things. Club looks amazing for first night and the staff on the night where superb.

Was only informed of 1 bloke.

It will be sorted. If you have an issue how to resolve the issue please let us know. As I said the 5 sets we tried were too bright and the one we went with didn’t work. Trial and error.

Skinnybird I guess you have enough on your hands right now but I think I can direct you with that metered parking. It's monitor status is very low. The reason being that it is almost impossible to get a space. The problem is uber drivers. They sit there until they get a fare. Everyone has a right to earn a living. But these guys continually annoy me around Heathrow generally. And I'm in there every week. I think of the Authority knew that you were going to turn thst meter parking into greater return, they would be there more often and the club could have parking cheaper than Premier Inn. If these uber were moved on.... it may lead to less traffic mayhem apparently..... it's all about keeping on the right side....

It can`t be easy to take a building designed for one job and make do another! I also would be taking it in mind that thanks to the airport expansion, this place could be gone too so why spend oodles of money anyway? Yes, spend money, it needs it and thankfully it is happening. As for the equipment not working, perhaps this is the reason why Kestrels can`t open as well as the staff problem?

Skinny, Read both of these and the person was not attacking anything. You have a passionate customer base and the reason they are being so harsh in your eyes is because they want it to succeed. when you read all the messages here remember that everyone wants ab fabs to do well. You may see the club as your baby but all the swingers here who use it feel the same too. don't take the criticism personally we know its only just opened and we know it will take time to improve. but its better we point out everything now so you can do it right, first time. also the honest reviews are really helpful form a customers experience point of view. We will still head over knowing work needs to be done but when we get there we won't be disappointed because we know what to expect, anything that's been improved since that review will be a bonus. it's a great way to manage expectation.

The person you saw as attacking you, visited the club on opening night and gave a lot of good feedback the morning right after their visit. that's the actions of someone who really wants to see the club do well.

Id suggest for the next year you really listen to all the feedback here, and try your hardest to welcome anything you see as criticism. many businesses would kill to get this type of 360 feedback.

We too want Ab fabs to succeed, and we know you are doing your best with the finite resources you all have. keep up the good work and please take on board all the comments.

"Wasn’t take as anything but feedback.

Its a bit unfortunate that you quoted parts of my private message there.

At no point did we critise staff.

All were Abousutely amazing!

Some standouts.

Get it right and the club will last for years.

Its not a plaything for you and your buddies.

It takes a lot of hardwork and commitment.

Feedback is good whether negative or positive.

What is it they say about publicity?

If it's a mammoth task then the club wont last long.

People will be supportive, we all will on this thread.

I know it's hard with new openings, I apologise if I have came across overly harsh.

Went to old kestrels for a few years and it was always being improved, so I’m guessing new venue will be the same. I’ve not been to any other club since kestrels closed so am very pleased and exited that the new one is opening soon, I will support it as often as I can so the facilities can be improved on. Good luck

Precisely. Businesses pay ten or hundreds of thousands for this feedback and they get a fraction for what you are getting free. Keep your head up. It all sounds good. And if I were you, I would pick out 6 people a day every day for 6 months and ask then for what needs to change. Organisations that don't embrace change flat line and end up chasing quantity not quality....

Fantastic staff.

The club will get there.

It will have teething problems along the way, as all new clubs do.

We seen enough last night that this place could be great.

Had a few chats with @_kinnybird.

Its different but new exciting different. Sorry if I spoiled it for a few.

Led strip lights for those steps or good in the dark strips will fix that.

Just to add a bit of spice to the thread.

Who were the couple who parked right behind us.

Giving it big licks, telling folks he could have opened this club if he knew it was available.

But he didn't know about the opportunity.

Not very good at parking either

The parking wasn't!

With all things in life you just laugh.

As per cinema steps no issues here as the only couple in the club with crutches. Not difficult to spot.

We didn't either, but we saw a guy take misstep. The only damage appeared to be to his dignity.

That is surely an easy fix, as is the pool temperature and (presumably) the levels of the chemicals in the hot tub. After that maybe it gets a bit more complicated (and apparently somewhat dependent on negotiations with the LA).

We are looking forward to going back when we hear that some improvements have been made.

We attended Saturday night and thought the new Abfabs was great.

Yes, there’s room for lots of improvements and the staff all are very aware of that and we know it will all get done.

They have worked their socks off for months, and that’s without the endless stresses of paperwork and council meetings, and endless rules and regulations, the pressure they must of been under to reopen, to make lots of people happy, would of been intense.

People need to appreciate what they have sacrificed and the heartache that they have suffered, fighting and losing the last place, not forgetting all the people that lost their jobs when it closed down, and had to start their lives over again, and I’m pretty sure the staff, all have a life and families outside of the club.

Please Fabswingers instead of knocking them down, let’s all like most on here support these people and the time they are putting into the new venue.

It will be fantastic again, and with the love and support of their true fans it will only get better.

If you attended or you attend, and you were not or are not lucky enough to get down and naughty on the night, don’t blame the new venue or the staff, they can’t make those kind of things happen for you remember.

Just better luck next time.

Stay happy, positive and sexy, beautiful people. Xxxx

WELL DONE ABFABS!

We had a brilliant evening, lovely crowd. GREAT new location and the owners have clearly had an immense challenge.

I can see this club eventually becoming the best in Europe.

If we can just recommend a double curtain for the DR (as was the last DR), as people peeking in flood it with light which kind of defeats the whole DR set up LOTS OF LOVE FROM US AND SEE YOU AGAIN SOON!

Rickmansworth (Near Watford)

Everyone is giving their two pence worth, so thought we should as well. Mainly for the people who didnt go and keep asking us what it was like! X

Attended Friday night and Saturday night both nights were well attended.

Parking: wasn’t a problem for us, you could park in the abfabs car park, on the road outside, or in the premier inn next door (even if you aren’t a guest its £6 for five hours). There was security guards out in the car park and at reception, they were walking around making sure all was well.

Entrance: was dealt with efficiently and professionally, membership cards were pre-printed and didn’t have to wait in the queue for long. (Even the five minute was fun, watching everyone enter.) Each member has to have cards and they last for a year. Coats were taken and stored safely behind reception, which was constantly manned throughout the night.

Swimming pool is a great area, the design of the swimming pool is lovely and better than I’ve seen in any of the clubs around in London and surrounding… it was warm which was fine for me, we didn’t think it was cold, it wasn’t hot as the old abfabs swimming pool, easily rectified and I’m sure they will heat it up more. The Jacuzzi by the swimming pool was piping hot loved it. Full on fun going on Saturday night in the Jacuzzi and swimming pool.

Shower rooms: the showers were very good and hot. I think a few weren’t working but majority were.

Guided Tour: the tour guide gave us a full tour of the club, it was explained well and we were shown all the areas of the club in detail.

First impressions, huge club and great facilities. Some areas aren’t opened yet like the extra Jacuzzi rooms they are awaiting licences. Even without these areas the place is huge.

Locker rooms: loads of great sized lockers easily fit clothes and bags in. If you want a locker you have to put a deposit down at the front desk. If you also want a towel, you need to ask at the front reception desk.

Toilets were clean and separate toilets for men and women in various areas. Some toilets were tired looking, but hey it’s a toilet.!

BDSM dungeon room was huge with mirrors everywhere and overlooks the swimming pool, so you can see what the naughty peeps are doing wet and naked. (get rid of that spider please! The Mrs hates spiders!) why not have gym mats on one part of the floor and make an orgy area?

The Lounge is huge with the sofas that used to be in the lounge in the old abfabs. The pictures in the club are the pictures that used to adorn the old abfabs club (which we still like). It was quite bright on the Friday, which was rectified for the Saturday night with the lighting dim and sexy.

Bar area: Prices of the drinks are very reasonable, had a Barcardi and for £3. The bar area needs to be a lot bigger, people wanted drinks and there was a bit of a queue but this wasn’t an issue, actually got people chatting in the queue and were buying two drinks each. You aren’t allowed to buy doubles they don’t want anyone getting too pissed (which is a good thing). The bar is in the lounge area, there really needs to be a bar in the nightclub room too.

Dance floor: the dance floor area is HUGE, with a few sofas dotted around the edges and a stripper pole next to the DJ booth. The music was ok, it was on a playlist Via a laptop… you need a good DJ !! It will be great for New Years Eve! (already booked the hotel next door for NYE lol) the dance floor was used more on the Saturday than the Friday not sure why?!

Cinema room: very well laid out, big screen, dark and lots of play going on.

Smoking area: no one seemed to have an issue where it was located, there were some seating on Saturday that wasn’t there on Friday. Well done for listening to the feedback.

There are only two private lockable play areas – hopefully in future there will be more lockable private play areas. BUT there are loads of public play areas, cinema room, lounge area, dark room, one way mirror rooms (three of them), swimming pool, jacuzzi, bdsm room, glory hole rooms and nightclub room. Can’t see why anyone wouldn’t be able to find somewhere to play.

Summary: a great huge club, lots of facilities with huge potential and has professional staff. This will certainly be our first choice club to go to the others just don’t compare now. We are looking forward to seeing how the improvements to all the areas will go in the following months as Abfabs has a reputation of putting back into the club to make it a better place for all its guests. We are glad abfabs is back and looking forward to partying much more in this great club in a great location (for us)

WELL DONE TO THE WHOLE ABFABS TEAM!!! You are doing a GREAT job (and with all the stuff we don’t see like the licences and paperwork) and surely will be the best club in the UK soon enough.!!

Happy Swinging.! x

Happy Swinging.! x

I did look at the website but I couldn't find the information I was looking for.

Is it now open every Friday and Saturday, any other nights currently?

I hope you find suitable staff so that you can open as much as you like and get all you need sorted for daytime opening.

I appreciate it takes time and hard work but hopefully it will be amazing for you, and us too.

"Everyone is giving their two pence worth, so thought we should as well.

Longford

Thank you all so much. I am more rested and positive today.

Few things the plan is to open every weekend but will either a pre-paid ticket or booked. My sanity will not cope with all of you lovely people turning up.

As soon as we get the go ahead from the council we can open during the week and not just Friday and Saturday nights.

We will try and get another curtain up this week to the dark room.

We are investigating getting an additional bar, that is not as easy as it sounds! We need CCTV to monitor it and we are not allowed to film guests inside the building. Going to be challenging with so many mirrors.

As far as we know 1 person stumbled on the stairs so we are investigating different light again it’s no easy fix with no power to that area, but we will find a solution.

Pool was used for the first time this weekend so we didn’t know how it was going to react. The boilers need adjusting to kick in sooner to heat. It’s teething issues and we will find the correct setting soon.

Lots of mixed views on room and play areas so that is going to be a challenge. We didn’t want to build too much and annoy the council and have to remove the, so by slowly adding with their consent is a safe plan for us all.

If anyone fancies being a DJ please do shout, we have had a few offers but as you can all appreciate they are in my inbox somewhere....

I’ve not even had the time to post the tickets for the next set of parties - hopefully tonight if I can find a hour out of my family time.

Hopefully see some of you next weekend. Xx

In general, we missed the option "BYOB" from the old AbFab.

We really HATED!!! those bloody cold drafts in the corridor connecting swimming pool and smoker area! Why people kept the door open?! MAybe the managment should think about an additional kind of "curtain" or other "thermic barrier" which would effectively isolate the door between the smoker area and swimming pool?

In the swimming pool there was only one "arbour" (which me and my lady used for some naughty plays) - why not 2 - 3 arbours more?

And... There was nowhere any trace of a proper copulodrome (orgy area) - why?

There is a lot of space for arranging this - even in the dungeon and/or in the cinema or/and in the dance room.

Anyway, the new AbFab has a potential for "evolution", we hope...

We are also curious, how the new Kestrel Hydro will look and function.

So much of our remarks for now. Thank you, Ladies & Gentlemen

Think we may have watched your performance in the arbour whilst in the pool.

From changing to running the gauntlet down the cold corridor next to the smoking door to access pool we agree.

I'm sure the smoking area is temporary, someone above said there was seating there last Saturday evening.

We left at 2am so misinformation.

The club is really good, _kinnybird and the team have done a fantastic job getting there.

It needs a lot of work but knowing anfabs/Kestrels before and after a few chats with _kinnybird we know it will continue to evolve.

A poster above who said best or could be best in Europe?

Your having a ??

Chameleons is easily the most popular and recognisable club in this genre in UK.

Abfabs kestrels is great with massive potential.

Its not the old venue.

Folks need to go in with an open mind.

Part of the fun is exploring the new place x

Then let us give ours!

In general, we missed the option "BYOB" from the old AbFab.

The new venue is nice, hoever...

(P.S. Please, have some forbearance for our very imperfect English)"

Your English is better than many people. You could teach it to many British people

Were you one of the Hungarian couples? Apologies if not. having worked in Budapest it's an amazing city.

"Thank you all so much.

Xx"

Skinnybird I would not bother with an extra bar, I don't believe the expense and grief is worth it. (you know my background)

The hatch isn't great but from 10om - 2am we didn't see a massive queue, waiting and talking to folks is part of the fun.

None of us want to play or interact with folks out there nut!

If they can't wait in line and need to buy drinks 2 at a time then I would bi swerve them.

Same for hnh in smoking area and changing area
