In a word...no! I lived in Belfast some years ago and I used to arrange private house parties, but I never heard of anyone else doing it. As you know, the problem is that everybody knows everybody else, especially in areas restricted by culture, income, etc. - you can't turn over in bed without half of the town knowing about it and telling the other half!
