There aren’t any there. Like most things Middle East related perception and reality are quite different.
There are no swingers clubs in Dubai.
There are plenty of swingers in Dubai, mainly couples and there are other threads about Dubai.
Prostitution is illegal but is everywhere. The police turn a blind eye and walk on past.
Almost every hotel will have hookers working the bar in the evening. Some are notorious for it such as the York International.
Ask any taxi driver to take you to the Grosvenor House, Ritz Carlton, Trader Vics or the Fairmont hotel for their bar Cin-Cin. Bring a wallet and haggle.
Now the doomsayers will point to people thrown in jail. That happens. Usually to those who are d*unk in public and don’t listen to the first and only warning you get from them to go home. If your found having sex on the beach then you get the same one chance to go home. Fuck it up and it’s off to the jail for you.
Insult the Prophet or a local and expect to be beheaded for the first and jailed for the second. Drugs carrying is death too and they make no distinction between own use and supply. It’s the same thing. The Embassy are limited to providing consular assistance and are not there to get you out.
I’ve been plenty of times and played lots there. Barasti Beach well worth a visit on Friday / Saturday daytimes. Think Ibiza themed dance party with lots of bikini clad expats with and without fellas. |

I thoguht the bit about insulting the prophet said ' expect to be beheaded for the first offence and jailed for the second, and thought 'that's the wrong way round isn't it?' |

We have just got back from Dubai. We prearranged some fun before we went which worked out well.
It’s an easy going country if you stick to the right side of the law. The hotels pretty much turn a blind eye to what you get up to in your bedroom but we behaved very Discreetly when out in public. Out went the public flirting.
It’s an amazing place, can’t wait to return. |

Couldnt agree more!!!... I live here and if you are discreet and play by the rules nobody bats an eyelid...like many countries in the world. |
