also the amount of people who go to a club and leave their basic common sense at the door amazes me!!

This!! Be yourself, chat to people, have real conversations. If you stand at a bar waiting for some action, you won’t get any. If you approach people & say ‘hey, do you want to play’ the answer is likely to be no.

Common sense & good manners will take you a long way!
