Can you recommend the attic?

I'm thinking of visiting The Attic in Derby on the evening of Saturday 6th October. Never been before and to be honest I'm a club virgin so I was wondering if anyone could give me positive feedback about the club or should I just avoid it? All comments welcome. |

We go to this club reasonably regularly.
Always have a good laugh and lots of fun.
Go with an open mind and don't expect anything to happen. That way you won't be disappointed.
Try and make conversation with people, don't do what some do and act a little creepy. Show that you are a social individual.

I've been and thought it was an absolute disgrace. Anyone and everyone was let in. No IDs checked or anything.
The air was odd and felt like needed to shower after being their 10 minutes.
It had just been refurbished and honestly looked like a child's school play scenes in the different areas.
Full of chavs.
All in all. 2/10 |

I went once. Just to the cinema during the day.
We did get a tour of the club too.
It’s not a club I would go back too.
The guys in the cinema were respectable but the standard of the club anc cleanliness wasn’t for me.
I prefer chameleons or vanilla alternative |

I've enjoyed a good time at the club as a single male and as a couple (in fact it was my first club). What is handy is there is no membership, just pay at the door for entry. So no risk if it's not for you. It is a big club, lots of facilities and friendly. |

First off, thank you again for your contributions. Some mixed comments obviously but overall they seem a little more positive than negative. Happy to receive more comments. If I go it'll be Saturday 8th.. I'd be interested to know what Saturdays are generally like there. |

Our favourite club. Adhere to the rules, engage with people, have no expectations and you'll have a great night. We love the fact that the club looks after everyone and the security is second to none. Get there early as they limit single guys to the ratio of couples. |

As with all clubs. Not every club is for everyone, as you can see from some of the comments. Try for yourself OP and see. We've been to many clubs and none for us have beat the Attic. Our opinion only. We travel from Durham as its an absolutely brilliant club. Never found a problem with cleanliness. Lighting isn't bright in most of the club which we find great, atmospheric we'd even say. We have seen folk asked to leave for breaking the rules unlike some who tolerate d*unk people wobbling around everywhere. Disrespectful people we have also seen asked to leave so just shows the owners are on top of all of this and know how to run a club correctly. Hope this helps. We are going 6th |

Guys, thank you for your detailed comments, I really appreciate them. And thanks for the advice to get there early, I was planning for arrival at doors open or as near to. Hope to see you there on the 6th, happy to chat then especially if you're from Durham, I was born in Durham and lived near Newton Aycliffe in my younger years x |

I always read reviews on club xx but ie negative or good allways try for ourselfs xxx the attic has come a long way from when we first vistered xxx massive club xx friendly and ultra clean xx staff make sure it kept clean but there is the odd swinger that don't clean up after which I find is disgraceful xxx security allways on hand xx owners too xxx I allways say try before you buy xx xx if you not like then that's it xxx give it go xxx dress smart no trainers taje your own alcohol and chill chat xxx |

I hear so many people bitch about the attic but I love it. I'm not a chav in the slightest and I've been to a lot of clubs though out the UK. It's a old converted warehouse and still does have that feel about it to a degree. But the staff and people that attend are second to none I have such a laugh everytime I go but I mainly go to clubs to socialise and occasional soft play. You don't need membership and it's not expensive to attend you should give it at try |

We love The Attic - it's big, has a wide range of themed rooms, it's clean, good value, lots of (really nice) staff to keep everyone safe, no dress down rule, nice mix of customers - we'll be there tomorrow night. |

We love visiting the Attic
Staff are helpful and security is top notch, we like a certain room where you decide if people can watch with a white curtain and be totally private with a heavy black curtain, when there we generally leave the black curtain open and each time if people are breaking the rules they are told and asked to move on
The club is clean and the folk are friendly

All these positive reviews are great and are certainly tempting me.. Well not tempting actually, I've made my decision and I shall be going. I know it's impossible to say but I guess if there is any action it all kicks off later rather than earlier.. Once the alcohol had loosened the parts? |

You just cant say. To be honest we would say due to the way the club is set out there's always something going on all night. As always though never two nights the same. By all means say hi if you spot us on Saturday night |

We're there for the first time this Saturday for a friend's birthday party so we're hoping for a giggle.
No club is immune to the odd fracas or etiquette challenged idiot but if security is as good as said we're all in for a good night.
Gill is the more social person out of the two of us as I often struggle to hear people in my local club and prefer to quietly chat in the play rooms when I can.
Have a blinder whoever is going and say hi if you see us. xxx |

The best club I've been to so far. It's clean, friendly, safe and always a great night. There have never been any chavs in there and if there is ever any mither it's dealt with quickly. |
