It’s a seedy place for sure. I didn’t stay longer then an hour and that was pushing it. |

We had a tremendous time when we last went, it was a Saturday evening so couples only though. Never had any real problems with any particular ethnic group. One guy just held his cock infront of Mrs and said "You want this?", she just laughed in his face and walked away  |

We’ve been a few times and always had a good time. The facilities are very clean, I love the pool and like the ‘no play’ in the jacuzzi rule.
We did talk to a Turkish chap once, but didn’t ask if he was in the mafia, although he did make me an offer I couldn’t refuse!
We’ve never had a problem there and with the odd exception, have found the single guys polite and respectful.
There is often the odd single chap who oversteps the mark, but we have bumped into him at every club we’ve been to.
It is a small venue and maybe that makes a difference when it’s very busy - kestrels was much bigger, so maybe didn’t feel as full of single guys, but we remember days there when there would be a couple of women and twenty guys following us around.
There is always staff members wandering around at rios, and that helps the feeling of safety. Again at kestrels the dungeon area was a long was from the front desk.
We don’t understand why rios gets such a bad press. |

I used to enjoy couples night (Sat) there and miss it. Quite a different atmosphere to the other evenings. |

Having been to Kestrels and Rios on many occasions each, I'd say the general behaviour at Rios (outside couples only night) is FAR worse in my experience to the extent that there is barely a comparison to be made. The number of guys wandering around Rios who just don't have a clue how to behave (in several ways) can be pretty irritating at times - and I'm not even the target of their attention!
From almost shoulder barging other men in a testosterone fuelled way when walking along some of the narrower passageways, to pretty much pushing you over in the rush for a room where a couple/women is heading to banging/knocking on play room doors begging and sometimes even demanding to be let in to constantly opening steam room doors in the desperate search for a woman to stare at (and sometimes not even bothering to close them again in their disappointment upon discovering there are only other guys there) to following women/couples everywhere they go like the wanking dead to the way some of them speak to staff etc. - the worst of that place is pretty bad in my view.
Having said that, I have had some good times there too, but more often that not I go away thinking it will be a while before I return. Still, we all have our own experiences and points of view. I think the actual facilities themselves are pretty good and the place is clean. Just a pity some of the 'clientele' let the place down at times. |

We used to go to kestrels a lot and during the hundreds of times we went there we saw all of this and worse - guys would stand in front of us wanking, jump on the bed uninvited in the open play room, reach out and touch in the jacuzzi, corridor or lounge, and almost have the door to the viewing room off the hinges, and endlessly follow us around.
Most days we went there we had to be a bit firm with one or more guys. Yet it mostly had a ‘good’ reputation - and has become a bit deitised since its demise.
We’ve only been to rios a half dozen times, but apart from one incident of an unwanted grope have experienced none of this.
I just don’t understand why it has such a bad reputation, with claims of Turkish mafia and hoards of agressive sex starved men.
Maybe there are two rios, but we haven’t been to the one described. |

We’ve been a few times and never had any problems - yes there are more men than women (women typing) but I’ve never experienced anything bad if anyone approaches your not keen on then a polite no thanks usually ends it - the bar staff are friendly and up for a laugh we usually leave by 12/1 maybe thats when all the rowdy ones turn up - definitely a good nite there x |

I will use it in the day. Its quieter, less people. Weekends and evenings it can get crowded. One wonders if it is a place where you can truly relax, as there is a constant turnaround of folk.

Fair play. As I say, everyone has their own experiences and having read a lot of posts/comments on the forums and reviews, some can have completely different experiences in the same venue to others.
I'm glad that you've generally had good experiences at Rios and sorry to hear about some of your times at Kestrels. All I can say is that I hardly ever saw that at Kestrels and by FAR the worst behaviour I've ever seen at a place like this I've consistently observed at Rios. Couples night at Rios is quite different in vibe and behaviour and also the behaviour of single guys tends to get worse later on at night (to my observation) |
