Going to be our first time at swingfields this June. Who is going? Have you been before? Any advice on things to take? What's the Atmosphere like? What are best parts?

Think they did something like that in 2016 but can't remember what the different colours meant,

It's an awesome weekend, I can't wait either.

The location is not revealed until 48hrs before the event, to ticket holders only.

Erm wouldn’t you buy a ticket and sort a tent? Or go glamping? There’s the options on their website.

I'm very much looking forward to it to, so much.

Bring suncream, hopefully we will have some sunshine. And something warm, as it can get chilly even around the campfire.

It's fun to have little social areas around the tents, so if you have a gazebo or barbecue those are always great to have with you.

It is really true, and it's been the same each year.

It attracts lots of single ladies, lots of couples, and few single men.

I can't work out why as it is such good fun for absolutely everybody.

This is us too...we were so close to disaster last time and it still makes me anxious about what pictures they still have and could use that, despite having a brilliant time, we just cannot take the risk. We hope it goes well and wish everyone a fabulous weekend

Or that a fair few guys wouldn't be able to take the whole weekend off due to work or childcare arrangements?

Also the sort of guys who'd go Swingfield are the same guys who'd go to clubs, some of whom often attend alone. I guess that for some of these guys a whole weekend may be a bit daunting in that they'd be concerned about not having company or making friends for the duration?

I had a great laugh when I went in 2016, and found it no problem making friends. The forums helped too - I was able to make arrangements to say hi to various people over the course of the weekend.

If I come this year, it will (like everything I do) be pretty last minute.

I'm mildly concerned about the press, but they ignored me last time.

Plus, I'm a rubbish swinger.

We are thinking of going because we love Swingfields so much and will need a break by then like you say and the 28th is Mr's birthday

Thinking we should shut down that weekend for swingfields as not open fully yet.

Need to ask, we bought our tickets as sex-extra before we bought the club and now called club sx so what we do about that so we can go ?

We're going but unfortunately this year I reckon the biggest potential issue with the tabloid "press" will be use of drones. Why risk sneaking a photographer on site when you can overfly with a camera drone costing less than £50..... They'll turn up with a dozen of them. I strongly suggest wifi blocking - illegal but....

Hi guys!

I’ve been a couple of times before! Got majorly stung last time thanks to the w**kers at the Sun newspaper - but I believe many steps have been taken to ensure the t*ssers won’t get in again!

It’s a fantastic festival and I’m delighted it’s being held again! Expect to meet lots of fantastic people and have great fun - anything else is a bonus! It’s England - take stuff for every possible weather!

If it wasn’t for lack of finances I’d most certainly be joining you all - even though I inadvertently became a centrefold model!

Understand the issue with the tabloids last time around but don’t really get how you can book to go to an event, when you don’t even have a vague idea of where it will be

If it was on the south coast that’s quite a trip to arrange when you live at the other end of the country...or in Scotland

Hi, ticket holders are told the event site a few days before the event. Our customers like it this way and it also helps keep the site secure. The sites are generally in the south west. We have customers from Scotland and abroad attending with no issues. It is one big adventure

"Understand the issue with the tabloids last time around but don’t really get how you can book to go to an event, when you don’t even have a vague idea of where it will be

If it was on the south coast that’s quite a trip to arrange when you live at the other end of the country...or in Scotland Hi, ticket holders are told the event site a few days before the event. Our customers like it this way and it also helps keep the site secure. The sites are generally in the south west. We have customers from Scotland and abroad attending with no issues. It is one big adventure

Ah that’s fine then, as long as the rough area is mentioned then people can make a decision on whether they are prepared to travel "

To be honest it doesn't make much difference re site location because its leaked as soon as the location is released. That is just the way it is and the media boys n girls will be there whether you like it or not, people fucking in farmers fields in england certainly sells newspapers. Should the press leave it alone, yes of course they should but they won't.

Thanks for your positivity, guess we won't be seeing you! Whatever your opinion, we do our upmost to ensure that the event is safe, secure and as private as it can be. We learn lessons every year and act on them to always improve the festival. It is the indiscretions of a tiny minority that can spoil it. But onwards and upwards, this year is going to be fantastic. Happy swinging

Its not about a lack of positivity, just a case of pointing out the facts as they are. It would be great if the press left you're event alone but that is very unlikely, last years event was cancelled for that reason and its more than a little unfair to suggest that the media won't get in or find other ways to infiltrate the event this year. It would be great if such events could take place without intrusion but thats not the world we live in.

We never promise that the press won't get in but we do our best to limit opportunity. Is it something that the.public want to read about every year? Old news really. It will not stop people doing what they enjoy and want to do. Last year was cancelled for personal reasons, we had a house move and 2 bereavement in the first half of the year. We are not and will not be driven by the media circus, we will continue to provide an event that many people enjoy and want. We are all free to make informed choices and informed opinions. It is what it is. Let's all enjoy the lifestyle for all it gives us. X

This is the reason giving for last year being cancelled which is somewhat different to the reason you have quoted above...

"It is with deep regret that the Committee have reached a formal decision to postpone Swingfields 2017 until 28th June 2018.

This Festival is an event we love dearly and the enjoyment of hundreds of guests who have built and grown the weekend with us into what it has become, means that we have taken this decision with heavy hearts. The press and their brutal invasion of privacy has caused a significant decrease in bookings, not helped by “trolls” who feel the need to comment and add negativity to an event they themselves never attended, but we are determined to not let them destroy the Festival and all it stands for. But the many impacts of their actions landed blow after blow, with some Clubs withdrawing their support, as well as our DJ’s, Fetish team, and potential venues to hold the festival.

The team has reacted above and beyond the call of duty by using these challenges to re-invent and re-design the Festival, to build on our hugely popular features but also to fully REFRESH and invigorate the entire weekend. Every year so far we gained more and more positive overwhelming support and enjoyment and even in 2016 with 10 days of awful weather, and the press issues, and challenges we faced, the VAST majority of the 700+ guests loved Swingfields and the friendships they forged.

The simple basic fact is that we were simply NOT willing to offer a substandard event and the decision was therefore made to take the pressures away and plan it “long” for 2018.

It is vital for us to clarify some important facts before the “keyboard warriors” try and wade in. Firstly, tickets are STILL fully valid for the 2018 event. For any guest who has paid and wants a full refund please email enquiries@swingfields.co.uk with the email you used to book with and the date you booked and the ticket holders name, along with bank details (account name, number and sort code) These will be processed by the end of May 2017. Requests for refunds must be made by 1st May 2017.

For those refunds not requested we will transfer full ticket terms to 2018 without any additional charges. For those wishing to purchase tickets for 2018 tickets are IMMEDIATELY available here. Similarly, our sponsors and food vendors can keep their bookings valid for next year.

Swingfields is a festival for lifestyle groups, run by lifestylers, we are proud of the journey so far, and proud of our guests and how this event has grown to become the biggest UK lifestyle event, built on feedback and input from those who have attended. We don’t want this event to die away because of a small number of vindictive people, when so many have a good time so TOGETHER we will work tirelessly with you all between now and Summer 2018 to bring this award winning event back and make it BETTER than ever before.

Thank you to all of you for your love and backing since 2013, we knew we could do it....but we couldn’t have done it without you.

Ticket holders will be emailed later today

This is the downside to the web, it never forgets.

Bravo you ! We never forget. We are well aware of what has been posted in the past. Whatever our reasons were, we did the right thing, without going into personal reasons at the time. So, if you want to come , do, and enjoy it, if you don't, I am not sure what your issue is.

Maybe they are security experts, they seem to think they are.

Hey, didn't you guys used to run the Lodge? Had some really fun visits there!"

"See there’s a copycat one going off in Yorkshire in Aug.

It's always great to hear about other similar lifestyle festivals happening within this scene x

As a one day event its sounds great.

One of the attractions about Swingfields Festival is spending 3 days with 500 other like minded people.

It's looking to be a great Summer already xxx

Tell me about it. I’ve a countdown app on my phone for it lol"

Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Looking at long range weather for the Swingfields Festival, it's looking like it's going to be 21-23 degrees.

Getting better already x

Is Swingfields friendly for single people?

I've found that generally things are more geared towards couples.

I'm wondering how single girls and guys are accepted there.
