Hi guys we regularly visit clubs and the most disappointing thing we find is the music choice
We’ve spoke to loads on this and everyone agrees that the right music. Creates that erotic sexual environment that I know with a lot of woman is essential to relaxing and “getting in the mood”
I mean I’ve been to clubs where they have played way to Amarillo!!!
So here’s my question what would you like to hear.

I think the problem is the variety of people that go there. Would hate to try and keep all punters happy. Plus most decent djs will charge and expect a decent system with monitors. Not sure many clubs could cater |

Great thread discussion... I DJ at Arousals as my profile name would suggest, most of the music I play is current charts or things most would be familiar with on commercial radio. I try and keep it up beat on arrival so between say 10pm and midnight but then I tone it down to the slower "sexier" r&b stuff & 80's groove. The advantage I have is that I mix music videos which are projected onto the wall, most videos feature sexy dancing or scantily clad individuals which can help...  |

Genuine question but I've been to many different clubs amd most really don't have a demographic that would be listening to chart music or RnB. Is this really what club goers want or just what you want to play?
As I say this is a genuine question, I know my music tastes are fairly obscure and wouldn't expect click s to play what I listen too but equally can't help thinking most clubs play it safe with a very safe music policy that in reality no one particularly likrs or dislikes.

It's a tough one. All you gotta do is read the music threads to see how varied Fabbers' music is. So you're never going to please everyone.
I've been in rock bands for decades, but I don't find it to be in the least sexy music. Yet I see others who think it's really sexy. |

"I don't mind any type of music. What I do dislike is music so loud that you have to shout when chatting and even then shouting isn't quite enough to be heard."
Couldn't agree more. Nothing worse than having to shout at someone you're about to have a sexy time with! |

Choose a Club that has a dance area with louder music and a social/chat area for getting to know each other.

The thing we have found is most DJ s feel they are showing off their skills and as loud as possible!
The tunes should reflect the people there, a good dj plays for his crowd. One club asked us on arrival for a tune we’d like to hear! Not guaranteed to be played but better aided the DJ to match the music!
The other main concern we find is that it’s way too loud! Yes we know DJs invest in systems speakers etc but swingers clubs are a little different. Most people want to ask s few more frank play questions before moving to play areas! Too loud and you can’t ask then delaying play or allowing presumptions to set in with disgruntled customers if they feel the others took advantage. So really, a good approach to music played, volumes set, leads to happier customers and more repeat visits! And the only down is a sad DJ who can’t crank it to the max lol |

One of the reasons I like Chams! Background music in the bar and jaccuzzis is just at the right level but louder for those who like to boogie in the Starlight Lounge

I totally agree with what’s said, I’m 42 and probably at the lower end of age range for some of these clubs and I couldn’t tell you a single song in the charts but then I only listen to 50s rock n roll mainly but do know music up until 2000 I guess!
We once went to Eurekas for a 60s night and they played club music all night not a single 60s tune! |

I was genuinely surprised too... I was bought in to play non-specific vocal/soulful house music but found I got a much better response to commercial more "recognisable" songs. There is a vast range of personal tastes within the club and I'm well aware I'll never please everyone but generally feedback on the night is positive, not to say that's EVERYONES review or opinion but also in the club reviews page there's many a mention about the "DJ" or "Music Choice".
Pop down bike monkey, I may even lure you onto the dancefloor! Lol
As mentioned previously, I also mix with the music videos and people do seem to enjoy that aspect of it.

I am a retired dj,well I still have a dabble,at a few party,s, now again,we sometimes like to go to clubs,where there,s good music,as we love to dance,and we can dance with other sexy couples,we have chated to loads of people,at clubs who tell us ! Thay want to dance..but the music is awful,people have asked,for ,other tunes,70,80'ect,and the dj,is lost!!!!! Unless it's not on his "laptop " he's not got it !!!!  |
