Saturday in the Midlands

Jump to: Newest in thread

Birmingham Airport

This is not a review because I have never been to this well known club in the Midlands. I have read the reviews and to be honest, I can't question nor corroborate them. What do I have to say then; I hear you scream!!!

On Saturdays according to the description, it's open to only couples and fems. I have a suggestion. Why not have a single guys' section on the same Saturday. A section with, if you like, a valve style gate/ door. I'll explain.

There should be an adjoining passage where fems and couples can cross over to "have a look" or indulge if they so wish - club rules still in operation.

Advantages: 1) single guys don't feel left out.

2) gay guys don't feel left out.

3) bi guys don't get left out.

4) fems can crossover and have a look at greener pastures on the other side.

5) couples may do as (4) above.

6) broad smiles for all stake holders.

If you owned this club, would you consider this suggestion?

If not, why?

A green room for single guys, endless patience required

I think they get free run on a Friday night

Why should anyone feel the need to cater for everyone all of them time.

Who cares if some feel left out Sometimes.

We're all big boys now and don't need to be wrapped in cotton wool.

And that's Mr S speaking here.

Well said.

We have been both nights.

Fridays we get single guys trying to convince us that we are missing out. Amusing, but also sad that they can behave like that.

Saturdays, we don't get that bother and just enjoy our night.

After all, like everyone else we pay to go in and have fun, not get bothered by people who can't take no for an answer.

Please leave Saturdays as they are thanks, we wouldn't want it any other way.

Not sure if this is aimed at us, or others, but please check out our club diary for January 2018 onwards.

I can think of nothing worse! I’d love to be able to go to a club on a Saturday (I know the attic does allow this to be fair) but I’d like to go as a respectful guy experienced in the club scene and welcomed as such rather than a pariah in the corner threatened with eviction if I crossed a white line!

I’ve always said that for the 2 club ‘biggies’ in the West Midlands having their guys allowed day and guys banned day on the same days halves their potential attendees - I’m sure those who like guys and those that don’t might attend a Friday and Saturday if feasible

OP,

Points two and three are catered for on Monday nights anyway. Is losing Saturday night really that much of an issue, given the rest of the week is open?

Saturday nights tend to be pretty female/couple orientated. There are plenty of alternatives. And yes swinging is a meat market and I find it amusing and dishonest when people try to pretend that it isn't. Especially in relation to single men.

There is one way to counteract that though...it involves having a partner that you're willing to "share". I, like many single men on here, are not comfortable with that therefore you have to take the loss of being the least catered to demographic in the scene. Swings and roundabouts really.

Saturday night is the night to hit the town in any language on earth!

Majority of earth dwellers work Mon - fri ( undebatable). As a result, to be excluded on Saturday night is a bit of a bummer. This is free consultancy for the stakeholders.

Newsflash. It's a swingers club.

You aren't technically swinging if you're single. And you certainly aren't in short supply.

What is in short supply is couples to swap with.

If anyone wanted a single lad to fuck they just go to any pub or club anywhere and pick one.

Accept that you're allowed join in whenever you are allowed. Why demand more? That's the reason people dislike single males and consider them pests for the most part with some exceptions.

There speaks the voice of reasonand common sense.

We spoke earlier of the guy who kept trying to convince us we wanted to go to the BMFC night. We tolerated it, but it was a bit silly really as it was plain from the beginning we weren't interested.

We understand that we have to put up with it on a Friday night, but love the fact that we don't even have to think about it on Saturdays.

Exactly that’s a historic thing - just because the rumour goes all single men are married and not allowed out on a Saturday night doesn’t mean some of us aren’t and actually might want to go to a club! I mean personally I wouldn’t go that often as I think it’d lose the buzz of going on a saturday but it’s be nice to have the option!

At the end of the day... clubs are not going to change just because 1 guy thinks it’s his right to be let into a club when he wants.. get over it!!

Whilst we all have our preferences it’s a bit harsh to tell ladies and couples who enjoy the company of men to ‘get over it’ when I fail to see why their preference is any less valid than yours or anyone else’s

Personally I think nights where couples only are allowed and singles are allowed in are perfectly valid - the issue certainly here in the West Midlands has been up to now both the main clubs have their no men nights on the same night every week limiting choice for those with other preferences on a Saturday
