"Just wondering has anyone experienced this resort in lanzarote?"
As far as we are aware a lot of people experienced it, and quite a lot got ripped off when it suddenly closed after taking money for holidays that were never gonna happen! |

"Just wondering... Did anybody get their money back? And did the law catch up with Tracy and Dean in the end?"
We never got anything back, total fraud & lies. Aparently big tour operator bought the site as canaries in demand more than ever now. Totally messed up hubbys 50th - going GC La Mirage for mine next year - Fi xx |

We never got anything back. Thankfully we'd only paid the deposit, which was about 120 euros or so. We were due to pay the rest of the balance, which was about another 1500, 3 days after they sent out the emails to say they were closing. A few days later and we would have lost that too so could have been much worse.
We still went to Lanzarote as we couldn't afford to lose the flights as well. Whilst we were in Puerto del Carmen we walked past the place on our way into the town and on the way back they were just taking the sign down. |

That's disgusting. Seems to us that they knew it was coming but decided to take the cash and run, which is clearly fraud. We were about to contract Spice for the travel business but didn't because we had heard the rumours. Hope you guys had a good time in the end |

"You were one of the lucky ones by the sound of it. Still its not nice to lose any money"
Yeah we were pretty fortunate really given how much it could have been. Still had a good time on the island, got a last minute villa with friends. Went to PDI this year instead which was far superior and heading back again in January. |

Friends of ours got their money back but that was because they'd used a credit card to book. |

We lost our deposit and had to pay loads to change our flights over to GC. I'd love to meet them just so I can tell those thieves what I think of them.
There is no way they didn't know when they were taking bookings that it was very doubtful they would be able to honour them.
Spice 2 was a building site! One of the people we met that was asked to invest insisted on seeing the site before he would commit, when he did he asked if it was a joke it was that bad. |

We visited 4 times in total and loved it!
Luckily our last trip was booked a week before they closed down.
We knew something shifty was going on then but nothing was confirmed until we got the email.
Its Really bad what they did to the bookings and the staff.
Loved James!! Hope he is doing well for himself.
We are going to try mirage next year. |

The last time was due to be our 3rd visit and we thoroughly enjoyed the previous 2. We had friends staying there the week they announced the closure who'd already told us that proposed new site was simply a building site and be prepared to be dissapointed as we were due to fly out around 6 weeks after.
James is indeed doing very well. We're still in contact with him and he's currently running his own events around Europe under the name Eu4ria. Google the name and it'll bring up his website and party dates. We haven't had chance to attend one yet but hopefully will later this year. |
