Thinking of taking a trip down south for a club
I stay in Scotland so probably no further south than the midlands
Somewhere you can reach easily without a car, where you can stay over or there are hotels nearby and where the atmosphere is good for single women
Any recommendations? |

I loved cupids, in Manchester, plus great city to party in too.
Clean, friendly and well set out!
Me and a fab friend had a ball there three nights running.
Another friend says she loved the townhouse. Great too but haven't had chance to try yet.
If your travelling to and from clubs in Manchester, use uber, it's better and cheaper than normal taxis. Oh and motel one by train station is nice hotel and good budget price too. 15 in Iberia to cupids, plus 1st trip when you sign up is free.

Kettering |
Lots of Scottish people visit The Vanilla Alternative although it would involve a taxi ride from Bedford station. There are onsite hotel rooms and single ladies are always made to feel very welcome. |

If you want somewhere that you can stay over then you can't go far wrong with chameleons in darlaston. If you don't want to drive you can travel by train to either Wolverhampton or Walsall and then get a bus/taxi to the club. When I did train to Walsall a few years ago it cost 6 quid each way in a taxi |

I like the look of cupids and townhouse and I will get there at some point.
There are many highly recommended clubs in the north of England and the midlands.
I would suggest looking at the club reviews on here and the club websites. Pick which club/s you really like the look of first and then research the travel and accommodation. Don't just choose a club because it's easy to get to on the train and has hotels nearby. You can contact the club/s and ask them for info on good hotels nearby, taxi companies and charges etc. They will help you to plan your visit and make you very welcome. |

Newcastle and Gateshead |
you could always possibly look at the one closest to the scottish border..... club f which is based between newcastle and durham...
also does have accomodation on site if booked early enough... if not then there is a fair amount of hotels that you can book within a 10-15 minute taxi ride radius...

Stoke area |
Atlantis in the Stoke area is a lovely friendly club. It doesn't have that single men following you about thing that I have found in many clubs. I often go alone and would be happy to accompany you. It's a 10 min taxi from the station and there is a hotel within walking distance, as well as the usual chain hotels nearby.
Lifetime membership just a tenner. |

Townhouse in Wirral (near Liverpool) is ace for single women. Loads of different events for you to choose from and some of them have overnight stays onsite too. |

Definitely reccomend Xtasia in West Bromwich! Great club with a great staff and crowd, 3 hotels near including one next door, combined with nights to suit everyone. |

Our suggestion would be to read the reviews on this site. Truthfully, there are only a handful of truly great Clubs in the UK and if you are going to travel and want to make an event of it you would probably want it to be a successful night/weekend.
If you plan ahead you can get cheap WCML tickets with Virgin to either Manchester, Wolverhampton or Birmingham and cheaper hotel rooms. The top Clubs have very big events that are advertised months in advance and they are invariably a big success. Coming up in the Midlands for example is the annual Sunday Summer BBQ at Chameleons at the end of August and a crossover dance/rave/swing night at Xtasia in early September. You are as good as guaranteed that these will both be very well attended and memorable events.
The Clubs in the NW all have loyal followings, but with you travelling and so needing good transport links and accommodation and the guarantee of a good event - I would think that might be a bit too much to ask of any one Club in the NW. That said, we have met people who have driven down for the night and were driving back to Scotland at both No3 in Chorley and Cupids in Swindon.
good luck |

We would recommend townhouse in Birkenhead, the place is clean, tidy and kitted out. The wet room and hot tub are just fantastic, the staff are friendly, inviting and will take the time out to show you around and make you feel at home.
The singles and couples that attend are very friendly, outgoing and not pushy. All very respectful and a fantastic night/experience as a whole. |
