Berlin's such a cool city and the Ubahn, trams and Sbway are really easy to navigate so getting places is quite easy. Also dead easy getting train from SXF Airport, or TXL is even more central. Loads of great places to eat.
We don't go mad for the Alexanderplatz area (concrete and Soviet without the kitch) but aside from around there you can't go wrong. We recently stayed in the 4* Leonardo Royal Alexanderplatz (good mile away from the Alexanderplatz in suburban area) and paid only £45 a night. With work I have stayed at the Hilton and that's great, but a lot more dear. Schöneberg seemed pretty cool, loads of independent shops.
Not swung in Berlin, but bet it's fun. Let us know how you get on! |

We stayed in The Ludwig Van Beethoven Hotel, Hasenhide.
Very comfortable and the breakfast is impressive.
Staff second to none, reception like a virtual tourist guide.
We would stay again anytime.
Very short walk from the U Bahn and a few stops from Swingeroase Zweispalt.
Can access anywhere in no time on the U Bahn.
Loads of very reasonable international restaurants on the doorstep( literally).
Some fantastic local street food to try as well. Try the pancake/ potato cake stall. Apparentlty the only one left in Berlin. |

We stayed in the Axel hotel when we visited the city a few years ago. It's a gay male oriented hotel but is an extremely hetero-friendly place. Massive showers in the rooms with all-round red glass panels looking onto the room so you feel like you're in a fish tank Big hot tub on the roof too. They also have door cards that you hang outside the room if you'd like 'company' from other guests.
It's about a 5 min walk from the zoo and 2mins from a Ubhan stop. The Brandenburg gate is about a 30min walk away through Tiergarten park or you can take the Ubhan.
We'll be staying there again when we visit next. |

When we go on a city tour with club visit we often finds it most convenient to stay in the vicinity of the club and rather take public transport to the city centre. Reason being that it is convenient if you stay at the club until late hours/morning and we can just walk to the hotel or take a very short taxi ride. We stayed at Berliner Baer once (in Ringbahn strasse) - easy to walk to/from the Insomnia club even in heels
U-bahn stop is right in front of the club by the way. Insomnia is in middle of the Tempelhof area - not that far from city centre with U-bahn (about 10 mins I think).
We like Insomnia since we also like to party - huge dancefloor, cool music and a massive bar. If you like more standard German swingers clubs - more nude/towel around you waist type we think you might prefer "Tempeloase" which is closer to Potsdam. Haven't been there but been told by several Germans that it is great in addition to have possibility for sleepover (hotel rooms in the same building). |

"Make sure you visit the Reichstag - advance booking advised - then go for a meal in the TV tower for an overview of the city."
I'll echo the Reichstag, you can even get a free guided tour if you book far enough in advance |

Just had a week there with work. No chance for anything Fabs related but the best restaurant I went to was a Mexican at Jannowitzbrucke, turn right out of the station and cross the road. Right on the crossroads. Fantastic chicken fajita and cocktails. |

We stayed in Schoneberg, there is a pretty big sex shop and cinema there, only went to the shop though. We found it really convenient, close to public transport, we tend to walk quite a lot when we are away but to get to the Tiergarten is easy then a nice walk through to the Brandenburg gate.
We loved it there, such a fascinating city, next time we go back we'll try out a club or two.

Can't go wrong in Berlin. Mega cool city, been so many times with work and mini breaks. Last time stayed in Neukolln area but as long as there's a ubahn or tram stop you can get anywhere in the city pretty rapidly and easily. Berlin is not very centralised like most cities so just pick somewhere you like the look of and travel about.
Always a bar or a club about and many great places to eat. So much to see and do, we keep going back and finding new stuff. Look for the city pass, it includes travel cards and discounts for the attractions. Cocktail up the TV tower is a must.
Swinging clubs are not hard to find as previously mentioned but have never been to one yet. |

We liked Bar Moechtegern (moechtegern dotcom) on Leibnizstr in the Charlottenburg area. No door charge, good bar area and plenty of nooks and crannies, including a fun dungeon in the cellar. Doesn't look much from the outside, but nice inside. Mostly locals rather than tourists, but we were made welcome. |

"Has anyone been to berghain berlin ?
Would be very interested to hear from people who have.
Hi. I have. It's large, clean and was quite busy.
I had some fun with some very big guys."
Is the door policy as hard as reported ? |

Yes, Berghain is very hard to get into if you don't know someone! |

We've only been once - "Gigolo night" in July 2016. Saw only 2 or 3 black guys then. Have also planned on going to Insomnia and the "Red Light Ball" now on Friday 19th May and perhaps Saturday as well if Friday is good.

You could probably find a one legged Muslim transvestite midget in insomnia if you wanted... Berlin is a very multicultural city, some nights there'll be more black guys than others but with near 400 people attending at the weekends you should be spoiled for choice |

I just checked the events at insomnia and both events this weekend are club nights, so it is more of a nightclub vibe. You can see the difference reflected in the pricing in that this weekend is only €25 for single males but the swingers nights are €110 for single males... There is a play area that is well populated but it's a different atmosphere to their other events.
Hope this is helpful |

We are in Berlin this weekend. Had a lot of advice ( thanks) re clubs. Think Insomnia sounds great but maybe not for us on a sat nite . Think Swingeroase is the best bet? Templeoase is couples only on sat but is too far out? Public transport is ok but if you are dressed to impress can't use?! So have to go by taxi!!! ( or maybe peeps change when they get there ???). |

Going to check out websites to see if there are 'changing facilities' at these clubs ... |
