I'm sure I'll get my head bitten off for playing Devil's Advocate again here and I know that a lot of people are quite understandably pissed off about the behaviour at the moment but is dumping someone on their ass on a hard slippery surface the way to go? Yeah it sounds like the guy was being a dick but giving the club's current licencing issues, paramedics carting a guy out with a concussion isn't gonna help matters.
Sorry if I'm exaggerating this, but it's not 100% clear from your description just how hard the guy went down though I'm guessing he was sat back against one side and all he did was slide down under the water. |

Concussion? I missed that one. But I agree that there should be signs around not just the ones about cameras etc. Anyone ignoring the signs needs to be removed and language barrier is not an excuse either despite a staff member saying it should be considered There are too many excuses re the language barrier. NO means NO in any language. If a guy doesn't like being slapped then he shouldn't touch without asking. My first time at the club the man politely asked if he could touch me to which I said yes. Recently I was in the pool with a friend, chatting to anyone as I do. A guy asked my friend to play, she said yes and they announced they were getting a room. I misheard her guy, he had asked me if I wanted to join them. Then a guy I hadn't really interacted with said to me 'shall we get a room'? Uh that would be no so he got out all huffed. Lucky for me another chap had been watching me for a while, approached and asked if it was okay to chat as he hadn't wanted to just join in the conversation. I happily chatted then he asked if I would like to play and we did. That's how it should be. One thing for chaos to remember as well. DONT stalk females it will only get you ostracised |

the King's Fairway in Ashford is quite a big busy pub, about a 10 minute drive away, the closest pub to Abfabs never has anyone in it and they clearly know where you are off to afterwards |

Hi it's me Heidi I love kesterl I go there to relax first and if I want to play then I will but I've seen men just touch without asking but when it's happen to me when I'm on my own I said no thank you at the moment maybe later and never had any problem with them most men do have manners and respect I just wish I could go more . planing to go on the 22 march with my partner then I'm going to abfabs on the 8 April first time for me. 4 guys, yesterday at Kestrels, took it in turns to come up to me and proposition me. I was sat eating my lunch but apparently that made it seem I was fair game. I told each one no, politely then the last one got told to f&£@ off unless he wanted a broken nose. They then all stood together talking in whatever language it was, staring at me. I hate that. I did tell staff and was told the main two culprits, who were on a day pass had left because the other two (members) argued with them and said their behaviour was unacceptable and embarrassing to them. All these guys did was walk around in their towels perving and drinking whisky. Not once did they actually use the facilities.
I spoke to staff also when they were showing a newbie around. I mentioned that in the current light of so many inappropriate touching, it would be prudent to tell all newbies about consent and the meaning of the word NO. Also that using language barriers saying they don't understand is not an excuse. On another note a lady had her bum bitten in the dark room. The guy tried to bite the first time and he was told no biting, he then came back and did it again but bit quite hard, enough to leave a mark. Staff filled out an incident report also stating that she had seen the bite mark herself. They couldn't pin point the guy as he scarpered out of the dark room as soon as she yelped. Bloody animals. |
