There seem to be more and more of these events lately, some of them are charging a fortune also. Are they really worth it? All the established clubs we all visit are suffering because of them also. Are these people organising these events just in for the money? What do other club owners also think? |

pop up clubs/private parties might not have proper fire exits, safe procedures, clear rules, good etiquette etc....I prefer to stick to well run clubs who have a reputation to maintain m x |

We got asked to one recently that wanted an upfront deposit of half the £120 fee. I'm sure that some people really do pay for the best of stuff, but at just 8 couples that's £960. I can't imagine people aren't making a profit here. |

Luxury apartment with jacuzzi bath, alcohol and food. I don't think it was accommodation though. Apparently there were going to be a lot of beds, but they're for yanno.... Play. |

The effects of these pop up party's / events are having an effect on clubs particularly at this time of year when money is tight. People might only have one or two nights out and with so many clubs around (northwest) |

The private parties are slowly strangling the clubs. Clubs have typically large overheads, unpredictable attendance (we need volume) & constant investment to give customers a quaility environment CONSISTENTLY! Clubs competing, to drive a positive customer experience can only be good for the Customer.
Set against private party - low overheads, deposit upfront, & the venue not being the organisers responsibility, no way to really review the hosts, other guests & the venue itself. ?
Ultimately people will make their own choices club or private party - so the clubs really do have to deliver everything they promise to ensure they remain viable.
We just have to grin & bare it . As there is little that can be done.
