How clean are the hottubs?
Jump to: Newest in thread
The only party I went to which had a hottub ended up a bit swamp like with spermy scum floating in the surface ( a long time ago and not at a club)
Is there a hot tub etiquette that ensures the water stays clean?
I'm looking to go to my first club soon and little things like this are on my mind! |

In every club I've been to the rules are the same; no sexual activity in the hot tub! |

Been to 3 clubs with hot tubs 1allows play In there so there is sometimes a scum appearance . But their filter system soon clears it. The other two dont allow play.our regular club cleans theres twice a week and changes the filter system regularly |

I'm sure it's cleaned regularly and the filters probably work well, but if there's serial activity in there, no filter system is going to stop Cumbria spreading in the water immediately |

The jaccuzzis (NOT hot tubs) at Chams are so big and the water not only is checked daily, you can sometimes witness the staff taking samples, but the circulation of the water, air bubbles in one and water jets in the other, will quickly break down anything and bring it to the outlets for filtration. Since they are 16 person jaccuzzis, the volumes of water involved are huge and there`s a large water treatment room between the two. |

"Remember many years ago at the old Utopia club, a group session in the hot tub and one of the girls spat a huge mouthful of the sticky stuff in the Jacuzzi - was her first time there, bless her "
Delightful. No wonder that place is no more then. |

Eureka clean and chemicalise their hot tubs on a daily basis and have regular monthly water testing by an outside company, in line with health & safety. The only reason a film appears in the tubs is when people do not read the signs and get in a tub before showering, so any body lotions, moisturisers etc then contaminate the water. so guys and girls its easy just shower before using them |

Most rules are no sexual activity in the hot tub and having worked in a club they emptied, cleaned and refilled daily |

Sad to say but hot tubs should have a higher level of Chlorine then a swimming pool so if you can't tell there Chlorine it likey to not be at right level. Filtering does not clean water it just traps hair and skin. I was a lifeguard when a hot tub is running they look clean but let the hottub settle and you have a shock but that even the case in a swimming pool. There always a risk so It always wise to shower after. |

I just cannot bring myself to go near a hot tub at all at a club. I can't think of anything less hygienic that sitting in a vast pool of other people's dead skin and possibly bodily fluids |

There and to the left a bit |
Forget the exact detail but the (fantastic) hot tub at VA has some kind of special filtration system that regularly changes the water and there's certainly not a no sex rule in place there and have never seen anything remotely scummy floating about on any of my visits. |

why wouldn't you use something that's chlorinated, chemically treated, checked/monitored regular and filtered.
I've never seen anyone take a bottle of cleaner into a club so they can clean a bed befor using it
How do you know what's been left to dry on the bed the same night your on it yet We all seem happy to use them |

Exactly, why not. Kestrels regularly check their tubs and the pool every 2 hours, if treatment is needed then it gets done, the tubs are shut down for 15 mins to allow it to work through I've never seen anything untoward and there's lots of activities going on in all of them.
They also provide bottles of cleaners and paper towels in each room so that you can clean the beds. Something I do before and after play but I also use a towel under us. |

We strongly advise that people shower before & after using a jacuzzi. A hot tub or jacuzzi, in any club should have its water - chlorine level & ph balance tested every two hours.
The water must be completely drained every two days & the tub itself cleaned with a specific cleaning agent & sterilised - then refilled from the cold mains tap (this ensures that the balance is correct) or everyday after busy events. No clothing of any type should be worn as the chlorine will strip the colour & bracken the water - making it look unclean (even if it remains correct chemically).
No sexual activity of any type is allowed within Cupids jacuzzi - on accaision & in the heat of the moment it's only fair to say people forget this golden rule.
The filtration systems in place will of course deal with "accidents" however the previous poster is correct it's the chlorine that deals with the hygiene & water cleanliness.
The clarity of the water & its visible appearerence (with the water agitators off eg no bubbles lol) is a good indicator of the overall suitability of the tub for use - but in no way perfect.
If in doubt ladies especially should avoid tubs & jacuzzis.
The majority of clubs, if not all pay particular attention to their equipment & tub maintenance & that's how it should be. Cleanliness is next to godliness !!

Haha, if only things were that certain. BUT people bend the rules don't they? -especially when caught up in "the moment". Best thing is to go to a club where there are showers nearby and make sure you use them after going into the hot tub AND after. |

I was in a hottub at a party one night sitting with 6 people.one girl who had been drinking lots of red wine vomitted right into the water.
The vomit went quickly round the water because of the jets.
None of us could get out without getting a nice coatting of boke

"What about Eureka since that's where I hope to lose my club virginity? "
The policy at Eureka is NO SEX IN THE HOT TUBS. There are 2 tubs and they operate on alternative days, so one is cleaned whilst the other is in use.
We have regularly seen the staff inside the empty tub, scrubbing the thing down and the tubs are dropped and refilled with fresh water every time they are cleaned. Each tub has in inbuilt filter system and water tests are conducted throughout the day. |
